Oh my god i want to thank those that are reading y'all are awesome. And thanks to tjacara for her continuously voting. U rock Gurl. so read on my Earthlings.

I looked at my mother as she continuously talked about the dishes she is making for the dinner. She was making roasted chicken, mashed potatoes; she made her infamous bread and other things. She told me she needed help, that was like four hours ago and all she had me do was sit and watch her prepare the food. It was boring and she would blab on and on about anything that she thought was important.

She was almost through and the clock read four thirty. The table had been set and the baked goods were in the kitchen cooling I wasn't interested in eating. Daniel had called and said he had a surprise and he would arrive by five. I sat by the pool side slashing water around, just had a swim.

"Daniella, your mother said you should go get ready for our guest." She father spoke with a wine glass in his hand.

"Technically they are your guests. You both invited them and their families." I said coldly.

"I thought they were your friends?" he questioned.

"They are my friends." I told him slowly lowering myself in the pool for another swim.

"Then why don't you want to have dinner with them?" His face was puzzled, like he still couldn't understand my father was a very handsome man for thirty seven, he looked much younger.

"Our family is hardly a family we are living a farce and you all know it. There are just certain things that I don't want people in my life knowing." I explained before going fully under the water. He stood there for a minute before bowing his head and walking away. I floated around in the pool for a couple for minutes before I submerged. I wrapped the towel around my dripping skin and carefully made my way inside.

I was at the foot of the stairs about to make my way up. "Danny!" the shrieking voice caused me to slip backwards and landed on my back. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to frighten you it's just that I haven't seen you in the longest time." She apologized and helped me up. I rubbed my battered head and stared at her. I tightened the towel around me concealing my swim wear.

"Hi, Tiffany." I continued rubbing the back of my head. To be honest Tiffany was that girl that annoyed me with the bubbly personality but I liked her.

"How are you?" A huge smile was plastered on her lips, it made me sad.

"I'm okay. How are you?" I asked.

"I am much better I really missed you. I can't believe you didn't call me like you said. I wanted to call and cuss you out but Danny said it wasn't the right time." Her smile disappeared she had that look of pity.

"No pity please. Well I just merely forgot I have a lot of things happening." I explained trying to bring back her smile.

"I almost forgot you remember Mark he is engaged and said to tell you that you are invited to his wedding." She beamed.

"Oh glad to hear he moved on." I said monotonously.

"The girl is really nice, you would definitely like her." She continued talking, yes she was a talker. The doorbell rung and he head snapped around at the direction and we listened as my parents welcomed the arriving guests.

"Tiffany I have to go prepare I'll see you in a bit." I told her as I made my way up the stairs.

"I almost forgot your mother said to wear a dress and heels." She said and strutted off to the other direction.

I entered my room and made my way to my bathroom taking off the towel and my swim wear. I had set the tub to be filled and I laid there in the bubbles for a few minutes. I turned on the shower and washed away the dirt from my body and hair. I sat in front of the vanity mirror and blow dried my hair and brushed it until I came to its natural curls and shone. I made minor adjustment and added a few extra curls and let it cascade down my back almost at my waist. There was a knock on the door.
