Liam's Wife, Harry's Half Sister

Chapter 19

Harry's POV
It's been a couple of hours now and we still haven't heard anything. Luca and Henry had fallen asleep and Robin and Gemma decided to take them back to the house. I agreed. They shouldn't be here. They need to see their mom healthy. This is all Liam's fault.
"Family of Courtney Payne?" A doctor said coming out in scrubs.
"How's my daughter?"
"How's my sister?" My mom and I said at the same time.
"Your daughter is going to be just fine. We were able to stop the bleeding." The doctor said.
"What about my niece and nephew? Did my sister have the babies? Can I see her?"
"Harry dear, leave the poor man alone. I'm sure he is doing all he can." My mom said putting an arm around my shoulder.
"You are more than welcome to see her. As for your niece and nephew, I had to induce labor and perform a c section. Since they are only 27 weeks, they will have to stay in the NICU for a few weeks."
"But will they be okay?" My mom asked.
"There is a 70% chance of survival, but I think that they'll be just fine. I am concerned about the injuries your sister has though. I have contacted authorities. Now you may see her if you wish, while we run some tests on the babies."
"Thank you doctor." My mother said.
He then gave us my sister's room number. Once we were there we looked to see she was sleeping.
"You go ahead. I'm going to call Robin.
My mom left the room and I sat by my sister. Seeing the bruises on her just made me cry. This is my fault. How could I let this happen. I'm horrible.
I then heard a groan.
"Courtney?" I said hoping for a response.
"Harry? Where am I? What happened?" Courtney asked as her eyes adjusted to the light.
"You don't remember?"
"No. Where's Liam? Why am I in the hospital?"
"Courtney." I sighed and grabbed my sister's hand.
"You texted me late and I got it the next morning. You said Liam hit you again. So I rushed over only to see you get put into an ambulance. It looked like Liam hit you again before I got there. They had to rush you to the hospital too because you were bleeding down there."
"My babies! What happened to them?! Are they okay?"
"They are fine dear. A little early but fine all the same. They are in the NICU." Courtney and I heard mom say as she walked into the room.
"Is Robin on his way back with Gemma and the boys?" I asked.
"Yes, but first I want to know. Courtney why wouldn't you tell me, Robin, or Gemma what was going on?" My mom asked.
"I didn't want to worry anybody and I thought I could handle it." Courtney said.
"This isn't handling it. Courtney, a man who hits you isn't worth it. Has he hit the boys?" My mom asked.
"No, just me. H-he started d-drinking again." Courtney said.
"I think you should just get sole custody and leave him." I said.
"Harry!" My mom shouted.
"What? I'm just stating my opinion." I said.
"I don't know how that would go. Especially since Louis and I um well we found out some news." Courtney said.
"What are you talking about?" I asked.
"Luca is Louis' son." Courtney said kind of quietly but my mom and I both heard it.
"WHAT?!" My mom and I just looked at Courtney shocked.
"Shh. We haven't told Luca yet and Liam doesn't know. I was going to tell him the night that I texted Harry, but I didn't get the chance to." I said.
"Well there's no use in stressing about it now. Try to get some rest." My mom said.
"No, please I want to see my babies." Courtney begged.
"After you get some rest. I'll talk to Johanna and see if I can get her to pull a few strings to see if you can visit but only after you get some rest." My mom said and Courtney obliged.
My mom and I left the room just as Robin, Gemma, Luca and Henry showed up.
"How is she?" Gemma asked.
"Tired but doing well. Why don't you two go in, but no loudness Luca and Henry. Your mommy needs to rest." My mom said to the boys.
"Okay Nana!"
"We pwomise. We quiet!" Henry said and they both entered with Robin and Gemma.
My mom walked over to Johanna as I just sat down and waited for her to come back.
"Johanna said Courtney can see the twins when she's ready."
"Okay." I said and went back inside to see Courtney listening to something her son Henry and Luca were saying.
"Sorry. Johanna said you can see the twin's whenever you're ready." My mom said.
"She can bring them now." Courtney said and my mom left to go tell Johanna. I looked around the room and we were all anxious to see if the twins were alright. Of course Luca and Henry didn't know what was going on but they would soon find out.
