Mira stepped into Falafel Phil's to see Milton already sitting at a booth. "Hey."
"Thanks for meeting me, Mira." Milton sighed.
She sat down. "Of course, you said it was important." She frowned. "But...I hope you're not planning to eat falafel balls, you know they're against the diets I've put together for you guys."
Milton gave her a deadpanned stare. "Okay first of all, none of us follow that," Mira pouted. "And second... look, I have something I need to ask and...ugh, I'm a little nervous. I've wanted this for a long time."
Mira grew anxious at the possibilities. "...Okay?"
"I feel like I'm finally ready to go out with a girl-"
"Ahhh! Milton I'm sorry but I only think of you as a friend!" Mira exclaimed suddenly, growing panicked. She stared at him guiltily. "I'm so sorry! Please don't think you're not great, because you are, but-"
Milton wheezed. "You thought I meant you and me? No offense Mira, but you're not my type."
She frowned. "...Really? I'm the student council president. I thought you liked smart."
"I do." He assured. "And you are smart, really smart. But I like 'em...with a bit more fire." He grinned.
"Um...okay." Mira's not entirely sure what that meant but she decided to brush past it. "So who are you talking about?"
Milton smiled as he thought of her. "I like a girl named Julie. The first time I saw her in chemistry class, my heart stopped... I'd been trying to figure out the problem on the white board when she stepped in and-"
"She's not a teacher, is she?" Mira asked, just to be sure.
Milton snorted. "Of course not. Just an angel sent from heaven." He sighed dreamily. "And also like, in our grade."
"Got it." Mira sighed in relief.
"But I'm terrified to ask her out, what if she says no?" He asked fearfully.
Mira smiled a little. "Awww Milton, you're a total catch. I'm sure she'd love to go out with you. Give me some time to work out a plan."
"Thanks Mira." Milton sighed in relief. Then he paused. "Wait...I just realized, you're here by yourself. Where's Theo?"
Mira looked away at the mention of him. "He's around...but..." She sighed. "I don't know. Ever since my freak out on Halloween I think he's avoiding me."

Theo shut his locker only to have a heart attack when he saw a girl standing there. "Whoa."
"You're Theodore Adams, friend of Milton's." She stated with a smile.
Theo looked at her with uncertainty. "...And you are?"
"I'm Julie. I pass by your locker everyday." She sighed in relief. "And I finally have the courage to talk to you."
"...Okay." Theo stared at her.
She took a deep breath. "Okay well this is all kind of new to me, I'll just say it, I really like-"
"Wait are you hitting on me?" Theo asked in disbelief. "Cause I'm in an extremely unclear situationship already."
She burst out laughing. "I like your friend Milton! You and me? That's hilarious." She smacked him, and it actually hurt a little bit. "You're not my type. I like a manly man."
"Ah okay," Theo smiled, but then he frowned. "...Wait-"
"The first time I saw Milton in chemistry, it was like I was watching a movie and he was the star." She explained dreamily.
