While waiting, the Crown Prince accidentally made eye contact with Da-hye. He nervously looked away. She looked angry at him. Obviously.
"It is Gwigu." Yul whispered to Da-hye and Dang-gu. "He is bringing Gwigu into the palace."
"But Gwigu is a wily beast." Dang-gu said. "How could he bring a wily beast into the palace?"
"Master Seo Gyeong, who was my master long ago, used Gwigu to find evil relics that were created with sorcery using the power of the ice stone." Master Lee began speaking.
"Yes, I have heard of it." The king said. "However, I was told that it became useless after Gwigu's pottery broke."
"That is why, I moved the spirit of Gwigu from the pottery into a dead dog." Master Lee explained.
Da-hye saw the look of worry on the Queen's face.
"The dog that will soon arrive is Gwigu." Master Lee said.
"Gwigu?" The king asked.
Da-hye saw the Queen say something to one of the ladies in her court. It looked like she was worried about something. Da-hye wondered if she had someone notify Jin Mu about this? If they were truly working together, than Jin Mu would show up at the palace announced.
"We arranged today's meeting to make peace between Songrim and the royal family." The Queen spoke. "The Crown Prince was kind enough to visit you and invite you over himself." The Queen told Master Lee. "But you wish to bring this wily beast into the palace without His Majesty's permission?"
"He gave me permission to bring in the dog." Master Lee responded. "And right now, Gwigu cannot go wild and cause danger since it lives inside the body of a dog."
"So it cannot harm a soul shifter even if it sees one?" The Crown Prince asked.
He was so curious if Da-hye was really Naksu. But Da-hye did not seem the least bit worried. In fact, it looked like she knew that Gwigu was gonna be brought into the palace. That would mean she is not a soul shifter. If she was, wouldn't Master Lee have found out by now? But then again, maybe she was confident because she knew Gwigu could not attack her. He hated that he kept doubting her.
"Instead, it will let you know by barking." Master Lee explained.
The Crown Prince saw that Da-hye had no reaction to this comment. That meant she was not a soul shifter and she wasn't Naksu. Now, The Crown Prince felt guilty because he had ignored her without having proof of her actually being Naksu.
"Bark." Master Lee said. "Bark. Bark!" Da-hye saw that Master Lee looked at the Queen. So then, he knew something was off about her.
Gwigu's barks could be heard in the distance.
"What was that sound?" The king got up. "Does this mean there is a soul shifter inside my palace?"
"It seems so." Master Lee said.
"Then why are you just standing there?" The King asked. "Get out there and catch the soul shifter."
"Like I told you earlier, I brought the dog as a gift." Master Lee said. "I will leave it here with you. You can use it to find or catch the soul shifters inside the palace, Your Majesty."
The Queen stood up. "Take it away. We do not need it." The Queen said. "How dare you bring a wily beast inside the palace!" The Queen shouted. Da-hye found the Queen's response a little to exaggerated. "His Majesty already suffers from anxiety." The Queen said. "Are you trying to harm him with that wily beast of yours?"
