Later, the leader decided to meet with Master Heo and Da-hye to tell them what he did. For some reason, the leader had started to trust Da-hye more.

Apparently the leader thought that Mu-deok and Uk were hiding a secret so he locked them up separately and asked what their secret was to see if their answers matched. According to him, both of them said the same thing.

"You separately locked them up to find out what they were hiding." Master Heo said. "I guess you got something out of them. Tell us. What was they secret they were hiding?"

It could not have possibly been that Mu-deok was Naksu or a soul shifter, right?

"The two of them... told me a secret that completely shut me up." The leader said. "They both showed me the same thing."

"What?" Da-hye said. "What was it?"

"I cannot say." The leader said. "It is a secret." The leader smiled.

"Uncle!" Da-hye whined. "I deserve to know too!"

Da-hye wasn't usually whiney. But when she was curious about something, she had to know the truth.

"No, it is a secret." The leader said.

The leader would not budge no matter what Da-hye did, eventually she gave up.

The leader of Jinyowon had come to Songrim. Along with her husband and daughter.

"What brings the leader of Jinyowon to Songrim at this hour?" The leader of Songrim asked.

"I heard that you took Gwigu, a relic of Jinyowon, to the palace today." Lady Jin said.

Jin Mu must have told her.

"It was to find traces of sorcery at the palace." The leader said.

"I warned you not to get Jinyowon involved in any more soul shifter cases." Lady Jin said. "Why is Songrim using Jinyowon at will?"

"Mage families under the Unanimous Assembly must strive to stop sorcery." The leader said.
"If Songrim is striving to do just that, Jinyowon should offer their assistance. Do you not think so?"

"So you mean you will use us again." Lady Jin said. "Then I will take Gwigu. Hand it over to me. Or should I look for it myself?"

"Gwigu is right here." Master Lee said. "Gwigu was a relic created by Master Seo Gyeong. Therefore, it also belongs to Songrim.

"Why would Jinyowon's relic also belong to Songrim?" Lady Jin asked. "Are you saying Jinyowon is some kind of storehouse for Songrim?"

"That  is not what he meant." Lady Jin said. "You boldly assume everything in Jinyowon is yours to take. You take things without asking and never return them." That was not true. Songrim had returned everything borrowed from Jinyowon. Well, except Gwigu. "That must be how the people of Songrim are." Lady Jin said.

"You said something similar before." The leader said. "That a mage of Songrim had taken something from Jinyowon." Da-hye saw how Lady Jin's eyes went wide for a second. "Who was that mage?" The leader asked.

"He is right before my eyes." Lady Jin said looking at Master Lee. "The one who snuck into Jinyowon and stole Gwigu."

"How dare you call Master Lee a thief!" Master Heo said.

"What else do you call someone who steals?" Lady Jin asked.

"Mother, please." Cho-yeon said.

"It was Master Lee who moved Gwigu from the broken pottery into the body of that dog." Master Heo said.
