𝗦𝗨𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗥 𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗦, Go Won

𝟰𝟰. 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗼 𝗚𝘆𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗴'𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹

All of a sudden the drum started playing and Jang Uk walked in the middle of the training center. He looked around. "I can see that all of my former masters are here." Jang Uk said. "Allow your former pupil, Jang Uk, to greet all of you.

"Who is that young man?" A mage asked.

"He is Jang Uk. The reckless son of the Jang family who used to be my pupil." Monk Ho Yeon said. "As I recall, your family also tried to train him."

"Yes, I remember he ran away in just 3 days." The mage said.

"I apologize for interrupting this passionate discussion with the sound of the drum." Jang Uk said.

"Should I stop him?" Sang-ho asked the leader.

"Let him talk." The leader responded. "Whatever the case, he managed to stop the fight."

"Jang Uk, son of Jang Gang." Jin Mu said. "You had better have a good reason for interfering like this in front of His Majesty the King." Jin Mu explained.

"I am here to tell you what Master Seo Gyeong wanted." Jang Uk said. "I tell you this on behalf of Master Lee, a pupil of Master Seo Gyeong. So I expect everyone here to show their respect and listen to Master Seo Gyeong's will." Jang Uk said. "According to Master Lee, Master Seo Gyeong's will regarding the ice stone is written in the Word of the Heart." That could not be. Da-hye had read it before, it was nothing but a short poem.

"He wrote down the reason he left behind the ice stone and left it for all the mages of Jeongjingak to read, meaning Songrim did not hide anything." Jang Uk said. "I believe most of you here have also read Words of the Heart. Our job is to find his intentions in Word of the Heart." Jang Uk explained. This was actually a good lie. Most of the mages here, had read it a long time ago. Meaning they probably forgot what it was about.  

"Are you saying he wrote down why he left the ice stone in that book?" The King asked.

"Yes." Uk responded. "I was told that everyone will follow Master Seo Gyeong's wishes. So what you should really be fighting over is Words of the Heart, not the ice stone." Uk explained.

"Where is the so called Words of the Heart that he is talking about?" The King asked.

"Songrim had been keeping it, but we recently sent it to Jinyowon on Master Lee's orders." The leader said.

"It is being kept inside Jinyowon." Lady Jin said.

"Then bring the book here." The King said.

"Yes, Your Majesty." Lady Jin looked at her daughter Jin Cho-yeon.

"I am Jin Cho-yeon of Jinyowon." Cho-yeon said. "I will bring Words of the Heart."

"As it used to belong to Songrim, I will send someone from Songrim as well." The leader said.

Da-hye knew he was going to send Dang-gu. The leader may be slow-witted sometimes, but other times he is smart. You see, Dang-gu would stall for time as he would want to spend time with Cho-yeon.

"Dang-gu, I want you to go with her." The leader said. Da-hye was right. The Crown Prince saw Da-hye smile. It was not a sweet smile. It was more unsettling. Like if she was planning something. 

Dang-gu bowed his head and then he and Jin Cho-yeon left. Uk went to stand next to Yul and the leader sat back down. "It has been decades since I last read Word of the Heart." Master Heo told the leader and Da-hye. "Could you remind me what it is about?"

"It is just a short piece of poetry." Da-hye explained. She had read Words of the Heart around a year ago.

"Then is Uk lying?" Master Heo asked.
