"Yes, Cho-yeon and Dang-gu may unite the two families." Da-hye smiled. She knew she should not have said that. She knew it would make Lady Jin angry. That is why she said it.
"I respectfully decline." Lady Jin said. "Cho-yeon will have a better suitor." Lady Jin explained Was she saying that Da-hye's twin brother was not good enough?
"Who is better than the Park family of Songrim?" Master Heo asked.
Da-hye smiled slightly trying not to chuckle. Was Lady Jin seriously still planning on marrying off Cho-yeon to Jang Uk. Not that Uk was better than Dang-gu, but who else could marry Cho-yeon?
"A daughter of the Jin family is good enough to be the bride of the Crown Prince." Lady Jin. Da-hye's smile faded. The Crown Prince was hers.
"Mother, what are you saying?" Cho-yeon asked. "I do not want to. The Crown Prince is unkind." Cho-yeon complained.
The Crown Prince was not unkind! Actually, Da-hye took that back, he was. He had totally played with Da-hye's feelings!
"I do not like him." Cho-yeon said.
"Jin Cho-yeon." Lady Jin said.
"I wish to marry the one I love." Cho-yeon said.
Dang-gu grabbed Cho-yeon's hand. "Yes. I am the one she loves." Dang-gu said. Da-hye smiled again.
"Park Dang-gu!"
Lady Jin stood up. "We will talk at home." Lady Jin walked to Cho-yeon. "Let go of his hand and follow me." Cho-yeon shook her head.
"Let her go for now." The leader told Dang-gu. " Let go of her hand so she can leave." But, Dang-gu shook his head.
"Let go of his hand." Lady Jin told Cho-yeon.
"Let go!" The leader told Dang-gu.
But, Dang-gu and Cho-yeon were not listening. Da-hye never expected them to rebel like this. Dang-gu and Cho-yeon held each other closer. Master Heo and Da-hye both smiled at this.
"Jin Cho-yeon." Lady Jin said. "If you wish to be disobedient, do not bother coming home." Lady Jin left. Her husband stayed behind.
"I think it is best that we leave." Jin U-tak said. "Will you not come home with us?" He asked his daughter.
"I will not obey Mother this time." Cho-yeon said. "Please understand, father."
"I will send word when your mother's anger subsides." Jin U-tak said. "Please take care of her for a while."
"I will." Dang-gu said.
Jin U-tak turned to bow and left.
"Uncle, I apologize for the trouble." Dang-gu told the leader. "But I will protect my lady."
"Get out!" The leader shouted.
"Uncle, you can not just.." Da-hye was interrupted.
"Be quiet!" The leader told Da-hye. But before Da-hye could say anything else, Dang-gu and Cho-yeon decided to leave. A few seconds later, The leader left as well.
"Uncle, think about what you are doing." Da-hye followed behind him.
"Enough." The leader said.
Da-hye was sent to her room. She could not help but worry about Dang-gu and Cho-yeon. They would've gone to a inn, right? Da-hye exhaled sharply. She was such a terrible sister for not doing something! Maybe they were this outside, maybe she could somehow sneak them in.
