Dang-gu and Da-hye were on their way Jeongjingak. Yul had decided to stay there because it was more familiar to him.
"Let me give you a hug." Da-hye heard faint voices as she and Dang-gu made their way towards the main floor.
"No, just stop." Uk and Yul came into view.
"What is going on?" Dang-gu asked. "What are you guys doing? Are you leaving us out because you both slept here last night?" Dang-gu asked. Da-hye sighed, Dang-gu was so jealous for no reason. "Then we might just have to move in here too." Dang-gu said.
"Dang-gu, Da-hye, Yul is being strange." Uk explained as he pointed at Yul, who just had an innocent smile on his face. "He used to be pure and naive. But look at him. He has become sly." Uk said.
"Has he?" Da-hye raised her eyebrow. To her, Yul seemed the same, just a bit more cheery.
"Yul was always as pure as the driven snow." Dang-gu said. "Has he become depraved? Has he changed?" Dang-gu asked with a worried expression. Da-hye smiled, Dang-gu and Uk were still so dramatic.
"Have I changed?" Yul asked. "They say you die if you change all of a sudden." Da-hye's face changed into a confused expression, as Yul spoke those words. "It is good that I had a chance to see you before that happened. I am glad I returned." Yul gave them a soft smile.
"Yes, but you will soon regret having come back." Dang-gu said, trying to lighten the mood. "My uncle invited us over to his place for breakfast." Dang-gu explained.
"Tell him I went back." Yul told Dang-gu.
"You did not see me here." Uk said as he and Yul started to walk away. But Dang-gu and Da-hye stopped them.
"If you guys do not go, Da-hye and I will have to finish all four portions alone." Dang-gu explained. That was a terrible fate. "We are friends, right?" Dang-gu smiled.
"If I cannot get out of it, you guys cannot either." Da-hye said as she grabbed onto Yul while Dang-gu grabbed onto Uk.
"What shall we do?" Uk asked Yul.
"Let us go." Yul told Uk.
"All right." Uk agreed.
"Right, let us go eat." Dang-gu said to clarify.
The four of them were eating with Uncle Jin in his back yard. After finishing her breakfast, Da-hye felt like she was going to vomit. This really did taste terrible. "All right, I hope you enjoyed your meal." Uncle Jin said. They were sitting in a small open cottage. "Here is the desert." Uncle Jin said as he pushed a tray, that was holding 4 plates that had rice cakes inside, onto the small table.
"We managed to finish a whole meal, so a rice cake will be easy." Dang-gu said as he looked down at the rice cakes. "At least this is it." Dang-gu inhaled sharply. Da-hye would have preferred to not have to eat anything else that her uncle made.
"Normal rice cakes are boring, so I came up with a name for this dessert." Uncle Jin said. "These are called Leave-it-to-luck Rice Cakes." Uncle Jin told the four of them. Da-hye sighed loudly, this could not be good. "Three of the four are filled with honey, and one is filled with fish sauce. Sounds fun, does it not?" Uncle Jin smiled. Da-hye felt like vomiting all over again.
"No, it does not." Da-hye shook her head with concerned expression on her face.
"It took me two days...and one night to come up with this." Uncle Jin explained with a mischievous smile on his face.
"Why did you even think of making this?" Yul asked.
"Eating this rice will tell you how your day will go." Uncle Jin explained. "Whoever picks the fish sauce rice cake will have a lousy day, so watch out." Uncle Jin said. Da-hye was not going to let a fish cake determine her day, that is if she got the fish sauce one. "Go on and pick one each."
