"Hey, you and me need to talk about Jin Cho-yeon." Da-hye told Dang-gu as she followed him inside his room. "Why and when did you meet her?" Da-hye asked, her tone cold and serious.
"I met her a while ago." Dang-gu responded, his tone shy. In truth, he was a little bit scared of his twin sister. And her raging temper didn't exactly help.
"When!" Da-hye shouted, trying to get an answer out of her brother. Which startled Dang-gu.
"It was the day of the Unanimous Assembly." Dang-gu explained.
No wonder he never showed up. "Oh," Da-hye nodded her head, then pointed her finger at Dang-gu's face. "So, that is why you never showed up to the Unanimous Assembly." Da-hye shook her head disapprovingly.
"I was going to go, but then I got distracted." Dang-gu explained himself.
"Oh, yes. So talking with Cho-yeon is a good distraction, huh?" Da-hye scoffed, her anger calming down slightly.
"Why do you care?" Dang-gu asked, his eyes glinted with confusion.
Da-hye scoffed, "Why would I not care!" Dang-gu got startled again, he had always thought that Da-hye and Uncle Jin had similar tempers.
"You want to talk about me and Cho-yeon, but we cannot talk about you and the Crown Prince." Dang-gu complained.
The shorter girl's eyes widened. Da-hye wasn't sure if now was the best time to let the word know about her and the Crown Prince. "Stop. Do not talk about him here." Da-hye shushed Dang-gu.
"Why?" Dang-gu asked, his lips curving into an excited and nosy smile. "Are you two dating or what?" Dang-gu asked with curiosity.
"That is none of you business." Da-hye scoffed, as she turned around and walked out of Dang-gu's room. Leaving him to talk to himself.
Meanwhile, the Crown Prince was walking around the royal palace with Eunuch Oh. "None of the mages at the Unanimous Assembly could stop Jang Uk from leaving with that priestess." The Crown Prince said. He had heard about what had happened at the Unanimous Assembly. "Is he truly more powerful than all the mages there?" The Crown Prince asked Eunuch Oh.
"They let him go because he said they were married." Eunuch Oh explained.
"Goodness." The Crown Prince scoffed. "They always have their excuses. I heard Jin Bu-yeon has some great divine powers." The Crown Prince said. Recently, he had heard a lot about her, but she didn't interest him. "Did he marry her because he needed those powers?" The Crown Prince asked.
"Her portrait was posted throughout Daeho." Eunuch Oh said. "Apparently, she is a great beauty." Eunuch Oh explained. She probably was not as beautiful as Da-hye though.
"Because of her looks?" The Crown Prince asked. "I know Jang Uk pretty well. He would only seduce a woman to use her, not because he fell for her looks." The Crown Prince said, stopping in front of the Queen's court ladies, as he noticed blood on the cheek of one of the Queen's court ladies. "Did they fight?" The Crown Prince asked as he looked back at the Queen's court lady.
"Something must have happened between the Queen and her court ladies." Eunuch Oh said.
The Crown Prince sighed. "Since His Majesty is avoiding her, she is venting her anger at the innocent." The Crown Prince said. He could not help but pity his mother for what had happened to her.
"To be honest, there is a lot of gossip about the powder the Queen has given to the concubines." Eunuch Oh told the Crown Prince.
"Powder...as in cosmetics?" The Crown Prince asked. "Why?"
