"Guys~"
"But he didn't answer my texts right away, so then I was like-"
"-Can we quiet down please?"
Y/n and Aiya talked each other's ears off, the faint sound of their homeroom teacher calling for attention in the background.
"Guys, please..." Their teacher, Ms. Miura awkwardly chuckled.
Ms. Miura had just started as a teacher at Inarizaki last year, teaching being completely new to her, and unfortunately for her, she had little to no authority over these sophomore students of hers.
It's not like they purposely disrespected or ignored her, but they just weren't used to a teacher at their private school being so, patient?
Patient was not quite the word, but it was the closest to what Ms. Miura was.
Y/n and Aiya quickly quieted down though, feeling a sense of compassion for their teacher who seemed like she was trying her hardest not to walk out the door.
It took a minute or two before the rest of their classmates followed as well but their teacher was glad that they did regardless.
"Thank you!" Ms. Miura smiled at her class before she continued.
"Today I'll be handing back your essays..." She spoke whilst grabbing the stack of papers from her desk drawer. "Graded, this time of course!" She chuckled as she walked down the rows the students were seated in.
"Ugh I totally flaked on that paper~" Aiya groaned, folding her arms over her desk to lay her head down on them.
"I'm sure you did fine..." Y/n reassured, kindly patting her friend's back.
"Ms. Maeda..." Ms. Miura trailed off, standing in front of Aiya's desk and placing her essay down.
Aiya looked up at her teacher, cautiously grabbing her paper to look at her grade.
'58%'
Aiya's face lit up as she sat up straight. "I GOT A SUFFICIENT?!" She exclaimed, chuckling in embarrassment when her classmates laughed at her.
Ms. Miura sighed in defeat, shaking her head as she spoke. "I was compliant..."
Aiya rubbed the back of her neck, bowing her head down before she answered. "I know, thank you sensei..."
Ms. Miura gave Aiya one last pathetic smile before she walked off, continuing to hand out the graded work.
Y/n let out a sigh she didn't even know she was holding in, her nails tapping the desk in unease.
...
"Why are you so worked up?"
Y/n's attention shifted to her friend sitting beside her. "Huh?"
