"I think an 87 is a fine grade, but I get where you're coming from..." Himara hummed, twirling the strawberry flavored lollipop between her fingers before inserting it back in her mouth.

"But she'd skim over it again and point out what to improve on, so that's even better, right?" She asked, her voice a little less audible than before.

"Yea..." Y/n sighed, checking the time on her phone again.

Himara watched her carefully, taking out her lollipop to speak up again. "Your dad's gonna pick you up?" She asked her best friend, who nodded her head in response.

"Yup." Y/n answered, popping her 'P'. "He's late though..." She mumbled right after, rolling her eyes to which Himara chuckled softly.

"I don't mind, at least I get to talk to you now. When was the last time we even hung out?" She furrowed her eyebrows as she thought about it.

"You're right." Y/n gasped in surprise, the realization finally settling in that she and her best friend haven't hung out in like- what? Two weeks?

Wait...

TWO WEEKS?!

Y/n's eyes widened in shock, her lips slightly parting. She scoffed in disbelief, playfully pushing Himara's shoulder, who had a mischievous smirk plastered on her face.

"You HAG-"

"-BYEE" Himara choked on her saliva, her laughter being heard by students down the hallway who weren't even engaged in their conversation.

"How dare you not show up at my doorstep unannounced?!" Y/n asked, pretending to be hurt and offended.

"Oh please~ You don't show up at mine either." Himara rolled her eyes, finally pushing Y/n's shoulder back.

"How would you know?" Y/n grinned. "Maybe I do, but you're just not home at that time..." She trailed off, stealing a secret glance at her friend sitting beside her, who was glaring at her.

"We've both just been-"

"-Busy..." Y/n finished off Himara's sentence, a weird feeling settling into her lower stomach as she thought about it.

It was true though, they had been very busy. Y/n with studying, tutoring, debate club and on top of that student council as well.

Damn...

Now that she summed all of that up in her mind, she realized how much extra curriculums she had on her plate apart from her regular school assignments.

Himara didn't have much free time either, as she was captain of the girls soccer team.
