It was beginning to become dark. Misery and Bean were at their camp outside of Corona, and Misery was setting up the campfire. She then looked at the four year old boy as he was holding the vile of green liquid he'd stolen, he looked back at her when he saw the calm yet serious expression on his sister's face.
Misery: ( to Bean, calmly: ) What do you want to be when you grow up, Bean?
Bean thought for a moment before answering.
Bean: ( honestly with a smile: ) Kind... Like you.
Misery looked at Bean with slight shock, before looking back at the campfire she had finished setting up, with a sad smile.
Misery: ( to Bean, honestly, without looking at him: ) I'm flattered, little Bean, but... It's best you avoid being like me. Trust me...
Bean looked at Misery with confusion and some concern. The two quickly became alarmed when they heard the sounds of silent footsteps coming towards them.
Misery: ( with a serious expression: ) Bean. Go in the tent and stay there. Now.
Bean quickly did what he was told and ran into the tent without a second thought as Misery pulled out her guitar from behind her back then she picked up the vile of green liquid, that she knows it was some kind of acid, and she held the vile in her hand with a serious expression.
Misery: Bandits or guards, or whatever, they try taking my brother from me.... I will acid their face off. ( Loudly: ) So bring it on, you mother f-
( Meanwhile, with Eugene and Varian, somewhere near Misery and Bean's campsite )
Eugene and Varian were currently on Maximus as the horse was tracking down the two thieves with two other guards, aka Stan and Pete, that were also on horses.
Eugene: Okay, Varian, let me get this straight, the two thieves we've been looking for for weeks, are a toddler and a teenage girl wearing masks, and judging by how you described the girl to us, you have a crush on the girl and that's why you insisted on coming along, and I should be expecting to hear you naming an element after her in the future.
Varian: What? No, I, uh, I just want to get the vile of acid that they pick pocketed from me back.
Eugene: Yeah, that's my next question, why did you even have a vile of acid in your pocket?
Varian: I'm working on a pro- ( see something up ahead ) Wait, What- Oh my corona...
Eugene, Maximus, and the two guards then see the campsite up ahead, but that wasn't what caused Varian to go speechless in shock, it was the sight of a masked girl Varian had seen and told them about earlier, and that she was currently fighting off four bandits by herself, with a guitar.
Masked girl ( Misery ): ( as she knocks a bandit out with her guitar, yelling at the bandits, angrily: ) IDIOTS, I'M A BLOODY OLDER SISTER!! YOUR TOOTHPICKS FOR WEAPONS HAVE NO EFFECT AGAINST ME!
Eugene: And with that, this became a rescue mission.
Misery was about to knock out another bandit with her guitar, when she caught notice that guards were coming towards the campsite, distracting her and causing one of the bandits to stab her in her shoulder with a dagger before lifting her up in the air by her neck.
Bandit: ( angrily, to Misery: ) Where's the brat, girl? Tell us or else I'll-
Eugene, Varian came in, and Maximus kicked the bandit away from Misery, causing the bandit to let go of her and she fell down on her back on the ground, hitting her head and causing her to go unconscious. The three bandits quickly grabbed their unconscious friend and made a break for it. Varian, Eugene, and the two guards got off of the three horses, and Maximus quickly started looking around for the four year old.
Eugene: We need to find the kid and take her to a doctor, fast.
Varian: I hope she'll be ok-
They then heard quiet whimpers coming from inside the tent, and Maximus slowly pokes his head inside, to only get kicked in the face by the scared and crying four year old inside, causing to step back. Stan and Pete then opened the tent door, and the group sees little Bean hiding in the corner of the tent, tears streaming down his face as he was hugging a pillow with a small thorny bush in front of him like a shield.
Eugene: ( to Varian: ) You go with Stan and Pete back to the castle and get the girl to a doctor. Me and Maximus will handle the kid.
Varian just nods his head, before he carefully picked the unconscious girl up and was using all his strength to not faint at the sight of the blood coming from the wound in the girl's shoulder, but when he did, the four year old boy ran out and kicked him in the leg.
Varian: Ow! Hey-
Bean: ( with tears: ) No!
Eugene: ( to Bean, calmly: ) Hey, hey, it's okay, they're just going to get the both of you somewhere safe, so we can get her a doctor.
Bean was hesitant, but he decided to let Eugene pick him up, he then points to Misery's guitar with tear stains on his face.
Bean: Guitar.
Eugene: Don't worry, we're not going to leave it behind. Pete, hold onto the guitar. Stan, Varian and the girl are riding with you.
Stan: Yes, sir.
Pete picks up the guitar before everyone got on the horses and began going back towards Corona. Bean pats Maximus's saddle, the horse and Eugene both raised their brows in confusion in response.
Bean: ( sniffles ) ( to Maximus: ) Sorry...
Maximus gave the four year old a comforting smile in response. And Bean held onto Eugene as he slowly fell asleep.
