Nadja Chamack announces the unveiling of the Startrain, a modern-day train that will allow Parisians to travel from France to the UK faster than a plane.

Eternal who is watching this announcement from the computer in your room. "How is the train going across the sea between France and the UK?"

"There's a tunnel under the English Channel, Eternal." You explain.

"Did a supernatural do that?"

"When you put it that way, kinda." You giggled. "But it's just regular people working together building logic."

"It's so remarkable humans have made since I last had my previous descendants of all the Dragon-Phoenix users." Eternal is amazed.

"No stopping ideal progress of the modern world."

"There's no stopping you, either. That's a wonderful drawing!"

"It's for daddy's birthday. I wanna do something extra special ever since I don't know what my ideal dream could be. So I couldn't think of anything but to draw." you scratch your neck.

"I'm sure you'll come up with a perfect idea. You always do."

"Like, how?"

You fiddle your pencil and decided to take a break and head down the living room when you heard your mom is on the phone with your grandfather as Marinette walks down the stairs.

"Oh, come on now! It really is a shame, Rolland! It's your son's 40th birthday today! And, uh, I know how much Tom would love it if you- " Rolland hangs up and Sabine gasps  "Oh..."

"Is that our grandfather again?" Marinette asked.

"Yes." Sabine distraught.

"He's not really coming to Daddy's birthday?" you frowned.

"I did everything I could. It would've made your dad so happy. He doesn't talk very openly about his feelings, but I know he's sad that he doesn't see his own father anymore. It's a shame." Sabine replies.

"I never knew grandfather when I was still a baby." you admit.

"I'd really like to meet him someday, too." Marinette expresses.

"He hasn't left his home or seen a single person for over 20 years!" Sabine informs.

"So why hasn't he left for 20 years, mommy?" you wondered.

"Uh, he's a little old fashioned in his ways. He's not exactly what you call "modern.""

"But what happened 20 years ago?" Marinnette wondered too.

"Uh, well, it's complicated. If you girls really want to know more about it, you should probably ask your dad."

You raised a brow and you and your big sister ask Tom.  "Hey Daddy, do you know why Grandpa never leaves his house 20 years ago?"

When you tried asking Tom, he tells her the same thing Sabine said, "Oh? Uh, well, because he's very fond of tradition, and, uh, if you wanna know more about it, you should probably ask Grandma or Yang."

You deflated the answer so you made a video chat with Yang while Marinette called Grandma.

"Wei, (Y/n)!"

"Hey big brother Yang, can you tell me why Grandpa never left his house?" You see him getting off the station when he will celebrate your dad's birthday.
