Chapter 21: The Puppeteer 2

Vanitas is practicing his Chinese characters and pronounce of his Cantonese accent with Echo when there's a knock at the door as Echo hides in Vanitas' closet.

"Ready to go, Vanitas?" Nathalie walks in.

Vanitas sighs. "Since this is gonna take a while, can I bring one friend?"

Nathalie nods.

"Whassup, bro?"

At the Césaire apartment. Alya and Nino are playing a dancing game when Adrien video calls Nino.

"Nino, Me and Van got to go back to the Grévin Wax Museum. Do you want to come with me this time?"

"Sure thing, dude. I'll be right there—"  Nino sees Alya glaring at him. "Uh, eh, actually, Alya and I are hanging together today." Alya points at herself, then at Adrien. "Wait! Do you think Alya could come too?"

"Can I bring two friends?" Adrien asks Nathalie if it would be alright.

Nathalie approves., but then Alya calls you and Marinette and asks you two to come. "Girls, you are coming with me and Nino to the Grévin Wax Museum. Vanitas and Adrien invited us!"

"Ah! Wha! But! Nuh—!" Marinette is speechless.

"There's no saying no. We're coming to get you two now. You don't have a choice, girl!"

"Do you think (Y/n) could come too? That way you two guys could—" Nino suggested calling to Adrien.

"Shhh!" Alya shushes him.

"Uh, you could... stare at the statues together! (Y/n) and Marinette loves the... they loves statues! Which is perfect since the wax museum is, uh, full of them!" Nino chuckles nervously, and Alya facepalms.

"Can we make that... six?" Adrien asked

Nathalie rolls her eyes, but nods again.

"But Marinette! What about my superhero costume? " Manon holds up a drawing of herself and pouts before running up to you. "Hmph, everyone always forgets about me."

You pity the kid and pat her head

Marinette sighs. " Sorry, guys. I'm looking after Manon this afternoon. Go ahead without me."

Alya looks at Nino, and Nino looks at Adrien. The Scene switches to Adrien's room.

"Would six work? Actually, more like three and a half. Actually, more like three and a half." Adrien asked before cringing.

"I'll see what I can do."  Nathalie said.

All of you are in the Agreste car while their bodyguard drives all seven of you. And yet again Vanitas made you sit on his lap which makes you blush one more.

While in the Agreste car, Alya and Nino discuss their plan to leave You alone with Vanitas.

Manon overhears and loudly asks "Hey! Why are you leaving (Y/n) all alone? Don't you like her?

"Huh, what're you guys talking about?" Marinette snap out of her trance and glared.

"Nothing!" Nino change the topic. "It's got nothing to do with us leaving (Y/n) and Vanitas alone..." Alya elbows him. "Uh...! To... look at the statues as, uh, just friends, of course." he laughs nervously and Marinette gasps.

"Don't worry, Manon. It's just that Alya and Nino are boyfriend and girlfriend, and they probably wanna spend some time alone together. Without us." Adrien chimes in, he also plans to leave his brother with you.
