Chapter 4: Backwarder

In a flashback taking place during World War II, a young Master Fu and Marianne Lenoir are running from Nazi soldiers looking for the Miracle Box. Marianne believes that they should fight and suggests that she use the Ladybug Miraculous while Fu uses the Cat Miraculous. 

However, Fu points out that if they lose, the Nazis will get a hold of the Miracle Box and insists that they go to England instead, though she wants to stay and resist even without the Miraculouses. Fu allows this but gives her a pin to remember him by. He also attempts to tell her something else, but Marianne says to wait until he gets back. When spotted by Nazi soldiers, the duo part ways.

In present day, Marinette has assembled Alya, Alix, Rose, Juleka, and Mylène at her house for an emergency meeting. You and the girls are cuddled up in the couch, all of them except Rose looking extremely tired as it is early in the morning.

"Girls! We have a very serious situation! Adrien, Vanitas and his father have been invited to the Royal Wedding in England this weekend."

"That's the "emergency'' you called us over here for on a Saturday morning?" Alya frowns annoyingly and exhausted.

"You don't get it! Kagami and her mother are going too!" Marinette paces around the room doing dramatic hand gestures. " Which means that Adrien and Kagami will be spending an entire weekend together!"

"And...?" You asked out of tiredness and frustrated.

"What if Adrien is blown away by her awesome dress and hairstyle? And if they dance together at the reception? And what if they tour the city on a romantic horse and buggy ride? It would be the end of the world!  They're taking the Startrain to London at 11 AM; that's in less than two hours! We've gotta do something, fast!" Marinette rambles.

You and the Girls seem to be dozing off; only Rose seems enthusiastic and wide awake.

"We could... organize a demonstration and make the trains go on strike." Mylène suggests.

"Nah, they'd just take a helicopter or private jet." Alya points out.

Rose enthusiastically raises her hand. "I know! We'll dress you up as British megastar Adeline so you can slip into Buckingham Palace. You'll lure Adrien away from Kagami at the reception and waltz with him in the grand ballroom and—"

"Then when Adrien finds out you're not who he thought you were, he'll be totally disappointed because he hates lying; he'll fall head-over-heels in love with Kagami, given that she never lies, and you'll get locked away in the Tower of London." Alix interrupted.

Marinette squeals in terror.

"Why don't you just kidnap Kagami? That's cool." Juleka mumbles.

You all look at Juleka in terror and gasp as they sit up straight.

"What are you Jukeka, Hydra?" you ask incredulously.

"That would be bad!" Alix protested.

"No way we could do that, Juleka!" Alya agrees with you and Alix.

"We couldn't!" Rose agrees next.

"Mm-mm!" Mylène shakes her head in disapproval.

Alya begins to grow frustrated and made the decision. "Listen, Marinette, the best thing to do is just spill your guts to Adrien once and for all before he takes off for London!"

"Couldn't we try Juleka's idea instead?" Marinette nervously asks a rhetorical question.

You all shake your heads and make a disapproving noise.
