Don't skip a Beat
ⓒ 11-26-2023, Olan L. Smith
Hurry the ink poets when your Muse calls, and don't
Skip a beat; the press is ready. Poetry is your wont,
Roll it down the hill; the words become polished —
Till they hit a stone, hallelujahs are unabolished —
chords strike on an empty tomb. For liberation
Is both birth and death; it brings salvation.
