"Annnnnnd that should do for now. Anything else, Miss Leader?" Yasuo asked Ahri.
"I think that'll do for today, Yasuo," she replied. "Unless, girls, can you think of-"
"Nahhh, I'm good!" Akali declared, slumping onto the couch. "Let's handle the rest another day! I wanna get outta here."
Kai'sa giggled and said, "I agree. We could use a night out, especially to celebrate 'THE BADDEST.' Wouldn't you agree, Seraphine?"
The younger now idol looked towards the group. "W-Well, I don't see why not. Wait, are you-?"
"Yes, dear, we're inviting you out," Evelynn said to her, "and what better way to celebrate, than a little karaoke?"
Y/N glanced towards her and said, "Sounds like it could be fun."
It was then Seraphine remembered what Evelynn told her: "If you want to tell him how you feel, better hurry."
Seraphine stood with a determined look on her face. "Then let's go!"
Evelynn giggled and told her, "Right now? Aren't we eager."
She realized that she may have been too enthusiastic, then sat back down on the tan sofa. "O-Oh, I mean, sure."
"Great! Anyone else wanna join in?" Ahri asked all present.
Yasuo shook his head in reply. "Pass. Besides, I'll be at this for a bit, even at home. But, if you're looking, Qiyana and Senna told me they'd be in town."
"Oh, hell yeah! Gettin' the band back together!" Akali shouted. "Hey, Y/N! Can you get Ekko to join?"
"Wouldn't be too hard," Y/N said, already sending his friend a text.
Seraphine watched the group turn into talks of what to sing, eat, drink. But, in her mind, she recalled: "If you had to choose a song, what would it be?"
"Hmmmm....Oh, I know! It's-"
"Sera? You hear us?" Y/N asked her.
She blinked and was brought back. "Huh?"
Y/N noticed again how she seemed a bit, flustered. Or, maybe distant, just like this morning. "I said, Jinx, Ekko, and I will come by your place around 7. That cool with you?"
"Y-Yeah. But, won't Akali join?"
Akali waved a dismissive hand. "I'll ride over with the girls. Let my man take his friends for a ride."
"Oh, he's your man, now?" Evelynn teased. She laughed as a blush bled into Akali's cheeks.
"S-Shut it! Why wouldn't he be?"
Evelynn looked slightly towards Seraphine and said, "Just been forever since I heard you say that about a boy."
Akali wondered what she meant by that. She pointed at Evelynn while asking, "What about you, Eve? Sure you've wanted to say that, too."
The diva's wandered and met with the drummer. Y/N quirked and eyebrow and asked, "What?" She continued to stare. "What?"
Seraphine couldn't help but notice the subtle exchange between Evelynn and you. She saw the way your expression shifted when Evelynn's gaze fell upon you, and that small smile that tugged at the corner of her lips? It left Seraphine with a pang of curiosity, and jealousy.
Nooooooo. Please don't tell me Evelynn's looking at him.
Seraphine's thoughts raced as she pondered that possibility. It only exacerbated this unsettling mix of uncertainty. The idea of someone else coming into the picture was downright irritating.
