Y/N and Akali eventually found themselves at a beach near the end of the bay. "Wow, Akali. Gotta say: you really know the out-of-the-way spots," Y/N gasped at the view.
Akali walked over to the sand, then took off her shoes and socks. Y/N followed suit, then stepped forward on the soft sand. "You're one of the lucky few to know this hidden gem!" she told him.
The two continued barefoot down the beach. Y/N looked out across the rippling water, by far one of the best views ever. Across the way, there was a familiar sight: white sails of boats making their way back to port.
"Wow. Lot of boats out there tonight."
"You know a thing or two 'bout them?" Akali asked, looking over at Y/N.
"Well, when you've got family like Caitlyn, they sometimes let you play with their toys. Mine happened to be their boat: the 'Nemo's Destiny.' I remember my first time out on it when I was seven. Then every time we'd visit, I'd beg to go out at least once, and we would...."
Akali wondered what it must've been like for young Y/N, gaining a love for the water. She continued to listen to him ramble on.
"....and ever since, I told myself one day, I'd have a boat of my own." He was brought back by Akali's giggle. She found it cute. "S-Sorry. I know it sounds lame."
"Far from it. Just, this side of you. You're more open. And I like that." She took his hand and continued walking, this time a little closer to the water. "A boat's not something people I know would even think of."
"You should see Ekko. He's always getting on me to take him out."
"Well, why don't you?"
Y/N shivered as the cool water rushed over his feet. "Guess it all goes back to what happened. Once Yasuo got me a spot at M, I buried myself in my work. I didn't want to lose momentum, have Jinx be the only one supporting us."
"So you went to work, and hit the gas, no brakes?"
Y/N nodded and stifled a yawn. "Still kinda do. Like I said at Pantheon's: sleep's so messed up."
"Hmm. Maybe I can help with that," she said, leaning in with a seductive tone.
Y/N's face heated up at what she insinuated. "I-I uh, I don't know i-if that's a good idea."
Akali dissolved into a fit of laughter. "That's rich! The look on your face!"
Well that's embarrassing.
Shove it.
"Relax, Y/N. Let's go! There's something else I wanna show you!" She took off in a jog, water splashing as she ran.
He took off after Akali, eventually slowing back to a walk when she came to an opening in the cliff side. Squeezing through it revealed a small cove, not far from where they stood.
"W-Wow. That's cool," Y/N said. He was so wrapped up in the view he didn't realize Akali stopped, and the two collided. "Oh, god! I'm s-sorry!" Y/N knew he just blew it. "I'm a mess, aren't I?"
"H-Hey," Akali giggled, "don't beat yourself up. I'm alright!"
There you again, jumping to conclusions. Chill out.
Not helping!
"S-Sorry. Just thought I...."
"Nah, it's all good! C'mon, gotta see the view up here!" Akali tossed her shoes up and started to climb.
Y/N took in a deep breath of relief, then followed her to the edge of the cove. After climbing up a rock, he followed her pointed finger. It was a beautiful sight: the Moon was framed just right through a rock arch far out in the water. And there Akali sat in the middle of it.
