IT'S NOT HER FAULT
VERONICA POV:
It's been more than a month since what happened, and that Venus testing my patient.
"I miss you" I whispered to Irene's grave, I'm having a relapse kaya naisipan kong dalawin ang puntod niya, while waiting for Agatha.
"Having a relapse for your old love?" Saad ng pamilyar na boses sa likuran ko.
"It's so hard to move on from this lady Agatha" I said habang hindi parin lumilingon sa kanya.
"But alcohol can help you for a while" she whispered to my ear and tap my shoulder gesture me to stand up.
"Veron, don't be so sad to the things you can't control" dagdag niya and help me to stand up.
"Hindi ganyan yung Veronica na kilala ko, umayos ka... Let's go" at hinila na ako papuntang sasakyan.
"Two Margarita please" Agatha said to the bar tender, while me ay todo lang ang hilot sa sintido ko dahil sa nakakabinging tugtugan dito sa bar.
"You know, I got a go" I said at aakmang tatayo na pero pinigilan niya ako.
"Come on Veron, stay here for a while, I want to have a small talk from you" she said.
"Talk about what?" I impatiently ask.
"About Harold and her daughter" sagot niya.
"What about them?" Walang ganang tanong ko at kinuha ang alak na ibinaba ng bar tender.
"What's the status? My love na ba?" She asked while smiling, I rolled my eyes at tumingin sa kanya na may pandidiri.
"Love? For that dick head? Yak!" May pandidiring sabi ko at straight na tinungga ang natitirang alalak sa baso ko.
"As in wala talaga?" Pangungulit niya.
"You know Agatha, I fucking hate that guy, kilala ko si Harold, he's a very selfish and pervert man, sa tingin mo talaga mamahalin ko yung ganong klaseng lalaki? Over my rich, hot fucking dead body" panindigan ko sabay sindi ng sigarilyo.
"But we both know kung gano kabaliw sayo yung lalaking yun diba? Kaya nga sinikap niyang makuha si Irene para lang magkaroon ng koneksyon sa pamilya mo para lang mapansin mo siya" she said.
"But sadly, nanatili paring manhid ang isang Veronica.... ano kayang mararamdaman niya when she found out na kaya mo lang siya pinakasalan because of her daughter?" She added.
"About Arie, that little girl... Nag sisimula na siyang maging curious about Irene"
"Of course magiging curious yang baby girl mo no, Arie is so smart, she's so curious about everything, specially she's turning 18 next year... So be ready..." She said.
"But... You can own her habang maaga pa" may kapilyahang bulong nito sa akin.
"What do you mean?" Tanong ko at muling humithit ng sigarilyo.
"Ikaw ang unang dapat mag alis ng pagka birhen niya" she said and took my cigarette at hinithit yun.
"That is a very stupid suggestion you've ever said Agatha.. I know sometimes I looked at her in a lustful way but I never ever do that to her without her permission, that's so disgusting... Pano mo nasasabi yung ganyang bagay" iritang sagot ko.
"Punta muna akong restroom" walang ganang paalam ko at umilis na.
THRID PERSON POV:
"Another Margarita please" Agatha ordered. At nag labas ng isang pill.
"Here ma'am"
"Thank you"
Pag kakuha niya nito ay pasimple niyang inilagay ang pill sa inumin ni Veronica.
"I'm sorry Veron.. napag utusan lang" she said at pasimpleng hinalo ito para madaling matunaw.
"Poor little Arie, makikita niya kung gaano kahalimaw ang step-mother niya sa kama... Let's see kung kaya mo paring tignan si Veron the way you use to saw her, after this" She said at ibinalik sa table ang alak ni Veron.
"Uuwi na ko, masyado ng late.. Arie is waiting for me" Veron said nang makabalik na sa table nila.
"Whyyy.. nag order pa naman ako ulit... Okay, just one last shot and pwede ka ng umalis, just one last" Agatha said at inabot kay Veron ang alak na nilagyan niya ng pill.
"You're so annoying Agatha Ramos" she said at inis na kinuha ang baso at dali ang tinungga ito.
"Happy?" Sarkastikong tanong ni Veron "bye" she rolled her eyes at umalis.
"BYE!!, TAKE CARE!" sigaw naman ni Agatha sa kanya but she ignored her.
While she's driving, she feel her body heating up, she know she's drunk but that feeling is so unusual, but still gave her best to take incontrol lalo pa't nasa highway siya.
After 30 minutes, she managed na maka uwi.
Now she feels intense hotness and dizziness.
"Where's Arie?" She asked to one of her maids.
"Tulog na po si ma'am Arie" sagot nito.
"Kumain siya ng dinner kanina?" She asked habang umaakyat ng hagdan.
"Opo, pinilit ko nga lang po siya dahil gusto niya pa kayong hintayin, pero sinabi ko pong magagalit na kayo kaya napilitan ng kumain" paliwanag ng maid.
"Sige salamat, pwede ka ng mag pahinga" she said at tuluyan ng umakyat sa taas.
She's about to go to her room but she stop when she noticed that Arie's room is slightly opened.
Kahit nahihilo ay sinikap niya silipin ito sandali to check Arie.
But because of her hallucinations dulot ng drug na pinainom sa kanya ni Agatha, she didn't see Arie as Arie.
"Irene" she mumble at dahan-dahang pumasok sa kwarto ni Arie.
"Irene" at dahan-dahang umupo sa kama nito.
"I miss you so much" because of the drug, she look at Arie as Irene.
