Alva was an amazing person, and it was understandable that she had such a good-looking guy. I mean, she was gorgeous. I would never have made it through the first day without her, she was so helpful in every way.

"I think I've never been this nervous in my entire life," I said, looking at my only friend. "Girl, what are you nervous about? It's a glass of wine, you magnify the whole thing," said Dennis.

"Because I'm a horrible person. Alva is so kind and I sit and flirt with her boyfriend." I exclaimed, running my hand through my hair.

"And exactly how did you flirt with him?"

"He started airing his t-shirt and I said 'You look hot' in front of his girlfriend and the other girl Julia! Of course, I didn't mean it like the way it sounded."

Dennis started laughing, just like I knew he would. "Is he hot?" he asked, biting his lower lip. "He is . . . like the hottest guy I've seen," I replied, closing my eyes as I imagined him in front of me.

"There's nothing wrong with thinking someone is good-looking. I always sit and admire all the good-looking guys that pass me by," said Dennis, snapping his fingers while making duck lips at me.

"I should have just said no. It's enough that I have to watch him five hours a day in the theater."

"C'mon girl, put this short black dress on. Black always works," said Dennis, handing me my dress. "No, never. I'll just take a pair of jeans and a sweater." I said as I didn't want to be too dressed up.

Dennis disagreed with me, but I didn't want to make the wrong impression. I probably already had done enough by today.

I headed towards William's apartment which, to my surprise, was only twenty minutes away from me. Strange that I've never seen him before as I always walk this way home after I've been to the grocery store.

I knocked on his door, trying to shake off the nervousness as I waited for someone to open. The door opened and there he stood, neatly dressed in blue jeans and a black shirt with three buttons open.

'Fuck, he was dressed up. I should have listened to Dennis.'

"You came! Welcome to my place," he said, letting me pass him in the doorway.

'Damn, he smells good.'

"Alva and Julia went to the liquor store. They should be back soon," he said, walking into the kitchen. I followed him and studied his apartment. He seemed to be a guy who liked black/white furniture and a lot of green flowers if you could count them as flowers.

"Would you like some white wine?" he asked, looking at me.

"Sure, thank you," I said, noticing how shaky my voice was. I walked towards the living room, while he poured wine into the glass. He came into the living room and handed me it.

"What did you think of the theater lesson today?" he asked, and I watched as his eyes scanned me. "Hard because I don't know the language, but it was fun," said I, feeling my cheeks blush.

We sat down on his big leather couch, and I took a sip of wine. He chuckled softly and turned on Spotify on the TV. "What do you like to listen to?"

"Choose something, I'll listen to everything," I said, smiling at him.

This was so embarrassing to sit here alone with him. I didn't know what to say or have my eyes on, but what I shouldn't have been my eyes on him. I could feel him glancing at me, which made me look at him of course. A silly nervous laugh was heard from both of us and somehow it felt easier that he was behaving nervously as well.

"Sorry if my English is bad. I'm not used to talking about it often."

"Believe me, your English is perfectly fine. Can hardly be worse than when I'm speaking Swedish."

He laughed and I felt my heart flutter in my chest from his smile. I must look silly smiling when I see him smile. It's as if his smile is contagious to me and makes me blush at the same time.

The door was heard in the hall, and Alva entered the living room with a big smile. "Billie you're here!" she said, throwing herself down onto William's lap. Julia also came into the room and greeted me. I greeted them back and watched as Alva kissed William in front of me. I couldn't help but get jealous of them, which I didn't even have a reason to be. He was her boyfriend; I was just a new friend from teacher school.

I couldn't even dislike Alva for having the world's most good-looking guy, she was too kind for that. I turned my gaze away but couldn't help but glance back at how his lips embraced hers and how his tongue playfully found its way to her mouth.

"Do you live far from here?" asked Julia, causing me to break my embarrassing stare at their kiss. "Twenty minutes away. You?" I asked, straining myself to keep my gaze on Julia.

"I live outside Stockholm. Nacka? Do you know where it is?"

I shook my head. "No, I have no idea."

Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Alva leaving the couch and I turned my gaze to William, who wiped himself around the mouth. He looked back at me and gave me a grin that almost felt awkward. Had he perhaps noticed that I was staring at them?

Everyone was nicely dressed up as if they were going to go clubbing afterward. I felt almost underdressed in my black jeans and black low-cut sweater. Luckily, they didn't seem to mind, so I tried to let go of that thought and have fun instead.
