*a few weeks later*
(During that time period, Alexa and JC started to see each other intimately and JC had challenged Pony to a drift race, but he hasn't replied yet)My phone buzzes on the night stand next to my bed.
"Don't answer it" Alexa moans playfully and rolls over ontop of me. Her long brown hair falls over my face and I softly kiss her neck.
"But I have too..." I whisper in her ear. Alexa puts her head up and grabs my phone off the night stand.
The shades are drawn but small slivers of sunset light bleeds through them. Alexa unlocks my phone and I can see the bright light illuminate her beautiful face and bare chest.
"It's from Pony, and he says to meet him at the Hub tonight if you want to race" she reads.
"Yes, finally!" I exclaim, "Tell him 'ok'". She types something on my phone, the a locks it and places it back on the nightstand. I pull her back down on top of me and plant a long kiss on her lips. She runs her fingers through my hair as I pick her up in my arms and walk off to the bathroom. Still kissing, I manage to turn on the hot water and we get in the shower.
After taking our shower, we get out slowly, not wanting to actually leave, but we get ourselves dried off and clothed.
"Babe, will you hold this for me?" Alexa asks while handing me her slate-black .25mm.
"Sure" I say and take it out of her had. I pop the clip out and lock in in Safety. The clip was empty so was the barrel, but I still held it like it's loaded. I don't want any accident.
Alexa opens up the bedside drawer and pulls out a small box of 50 rounds for her pistol. As she is reloading her gun the same way I taught her, I pull out my slate-black .45 and pop the clip out to make sure it's not loaded. Ever since we started to date, I made her learn and get a gun jut incase someone from LA tries to find me here. I make sure nothing is in the clip or barrel and then reload with the box of ammunition I have next to my bed.
I slide my pistol into its holster on my hip and Alexa slides her gun in the pocket of her tight dark blue skinny jeans.
I grab my keys, phone and wallet and we both head out the door to the elevator, hand in hand.
"You know, I heard a rumor about Fetzer a few days ago before a race" Alexa says as we walk up the elevators and press the down button.
"Really? About what?" I say a little angry. I can't stand it when people make rumors about him. They only do it because only a few people actually know who he really is.
"It's not really about him, it's about his dead fiancé" she says. The doors then open and we get in.
"Oh great. What is it?" I ask. I know this isn't going to be good.
"Some guys told me that the guy who killed "T" is going to be at the races tonight. And he's looking for Fetzer"
My heart almost stops, "Why is he looking for Fetzer?"
"I don't know for sure, but the guy seemed like an asshole" she reports.
"This will be one fun evening" I say sarcastically and squeeze her hand nervously. The bell then dings and we step out onto the Casino floor. Thousands of people are down here trying to win it big like I did a few weeks ago. I won over $10,000 at that Blackjack table while Fetzer only got around $5,000.
We walk on out to the front doors to the Valet and the young man behind the pedestal exclaims, "Ah Mr. Cullet and Miss Jackson, so nice to see you! May I get your car, sir?"
"Yes please do!" I exclaim and he takes off for my car. As we wait, I turn around and look at our reflection in the glass door.
My brown hair is styled messily, while I wear a fitted white dress shirt untucked into my dark blue relaxed jeans.
