The Merchant From The Depths - 10

Mostro Lounge - VIP Room

Azul led Yuu and Jack to the VIP room with the twins following behind. The room was lavish with decorations and two couches on either side of the room. There was Azul's desk in the middle, and there was a huge vault behind it.

"What IS this place? Are we really still on school property?" Jack looked around the extravagant room. "Look at that huge vault... It's like some kinda bank." He pointed out which also led Yuu to look at it.

"All right, that's enough rubbernecking. Please, have a seat." Azul said to the duo as he sat on one couch and Yuu sat on the other with Jack. Jade and Floyd stood behind Azul, smiling and grinning.
"So, what would you like to discuss with me?"

"I'd like you to free the students you've indentured." Yuu answered to which Azul smirked.

"Ha ha ha! Goodness me. That's quite the demand to make right out the gate."
"You would ask me to release all 225 students from their contracts with me?"

"You bamboozled that many people?! That's nuts!" Jack yelled in shock. This just made Azul grin.

"Yes, well, Everin, Freme, Jade and Floyd did a bit of proactive market outreach this year." This shocked the duo more. They weren't expecting those two to be in this too.

"Thanks to that, I've had no shortage of clients ready to strike up deals with me."
"Now, Yuu-as for your request to free these students..."
"I am not forcing them to labor under any undue duress."

After Azul's explanation, Yuu was conflicted. But he decided to make a deal. He knows Yuuka, his twin sister back home would make fun of him. Wonder how she's doing... 𓁹‿𓁹

Jack was shocked at Yuu's decision. Out of all people, he never expected this. After some negotiations, Azul asked for Ramshackle dorm as collateral, which Yuu agreed. In return, he had 3 days until sunset from that day to bring him back a photo from the Atlantica memorial.

He provided them with a potion to breathe underwater to get the photo.
"Excellent! Go ahead and sign the scroll, then...."
"I give you my word that I will release the 225 sea anemones currently doing my bidding."

"Should you fail at your challenge, however..."
"...Ramshackle Dorm will belong to me, and as a student of that dorm, you will do as I say!" Azul announced.

"Heh heh heh... There we are. Signature received. The contract is now in effect."
"Should you successfully steal the photo from the Atlantica Memorial Museum and bring it to me before sunset on the third day from now..."

"Oh Jesus. What did I just sign myself up for...?" "Who's Jesus Koebi-Chan?" "Nothing nothing."

"Jade. Floyd. If you could kindly walk our guest home? I'll see you in three days."

Ramshackle Dorm - Hallway

"Oho. So this is Ramshackle Dorm. This is my first time inside, and already I'm smitten by its charm." Jade remarked as the twins followed the duo inside.
"It's close to school as well. It would be a perfect site for a Mostro Lounge branch cafe." He examined the interior.

"There's ghosts living here, right? That sounds rad." Floyd said picking up a random piece of glass in a corner. "Why're you guys followin' us inside, anyway?" Grim complained.

"Uh, 'cause this place is collateral in a deal between Yuu and Azul? Duh?" Floyd deadpanned at the cat who was horrified.
"Myah?!"

"Unlike the rest of you, Yuu has no power to put up as collateral."
"So we're confiscating the dorm instead." Jade said putting a hand on his chest. "Say WHAT?!"

"This dorm belongs to Azul until you hold up your end of the bargain."
"Hence, I'm afraid I must ask you to vacate the premises immediately." Jade pointed towards the door. "Don't worry, we'll give you time to pack your stuff. So nice, right?" The other leech smiled.

"Once this dorm officially enters Azul's possession, we will be disposing of all personal belongings in it.
I suggest you prepare accordingly."
"Heh heh heh. Don't worry! We'll give it all back if you bring us the photo before the third sunset."

"Heh heh heh heh..." Both creepily laughed. "MRAAAH! I gotta save all the tuna!"

"I'd better start with my school uniform and study supplies... What a mess." Yuu sighed.
