Caroline hadn't left the house since the night Adam attacked Alex. Alex had told her the next morning that he was attacked. He didn't tell her about Erebus, he just said that someone saw them and Adam had to run.

Caroline felt awful that she hadn't been there to do anything. Alex tried to tell her it was fine, there wasn't anything she could've done even if she was there, but she wasn't taking it.

"Caroline, I understand you're nervous, which is fine, so am I, but I can handle myself, you don't have to be right behind me 24/7."

"I don't wanna let anything happen to you." Mumbled Caroline.

"That's sweet, but just living your life isn't 'letting anything happen to me', it's just...living your life."

Caroline nodded a bit. 

Sammy overheard Alex telling Caroline what happened, and Alex couldn't help but notice that he seemed a bit concerned as well. If he hadn't known any better, he might've thought Sammy actually cared about him a bit.

But he knew better.

Alex hadn't seen Erebus since that night. He wondered how Erebus even knew he was in danger, or why he just happened to be in the area.

He hadn't seen Sarah or Damien either. Anthony said they still visited him, but they weren't there when Alex went to visit.

Amy hadn't seen them in a while either. She said Sarah still visited her here and there, but she hadn't seen Damien or Erebus.

"Alex, are you not leaving?" Asked Sammy.

Alex glanced over at him. "Are you gonna behave?" He asked.

"Why are you talking to me like I'm a child? What do you think I'm gonna do, burn down the house?" Asked Sammy.

"Invite people over, smoke in the house, try to seduce Caroline, I don't know."

"I mean, how long are you gonna be gone? Aren't you just gonna be home in a minute?"

"I have no idea how long I'm gonna be gone, meaning I could be home at any moment, so don't do anything stupid."

Sammy rolled his eyes. "Whatever, just tell the freak shows I said hi."

Alex told Caroline bye and went to visit Amy and Anthony.

Amy had been a lot quieter recently. Alex had to wonder if something had happened.

Walking up to the building, Alex noticed someone he recognized was sitting beside the door.

"John? What are you doing?" Asked Alex, as he walked up to the man sitting on the ground.

John looked up.

"I was starting to think you wouldn't show up." He said.

"What are you talking about? How did you know I'd be here?" Asked Alex.

"Well, I had to resort to asking Sammy because I have no way of contacting you." Said John, standing up.

"Fuck, you're tall." Said Alex, taking a step back, which confused John.

"Are you scared of me or something?" 

"No, I'm just...I don't know, you surprised me, I guess, 'cause I'm used to us being basically the same height."
