It's been almost ten minutes since Wanderer woke up from his... State? Whatever caused him to black out, the point is that in those whole ten minutes, Nahida hasn't realized he woke up.
Her conversation with Kite was far more interesting, it seemed. All the talk about Celestia, Nen, and Archons bore him.
But she seemed so excited to finally share her ideas with someone equally curious. So Wanderer stayed quiet, and waited for them to notice he was awake.
It was only when Nahida lowered her head to look at him, that she noticed he woke up. A smile of relief instantly broke out when their eyes met.
"You're awake."
Kite watched as he sat up, no signs of pain in his body language.
"While you were out, Nahida and I discussed your Vision and her Elemental Powers."
"Yeah? What did you find out?"
Nahida was the one to answer him while he stood up and shook his joints.
"Kite believes there's a way for me to regain my Elemental Power."
Wanderer turned back to face her while stretching his spine.
"Hmm? How?"
"Well, my Dendro power comes from plants. As you know, I can create and manipulate them."
"So what? You need to gain your powers back by somehow getting the Nen in plants?"
Nahida nodded with a proud smile at his correct answer.
"Yes. Nen is found on anything with aura nodes. So unlike us who don't have them, living creatures do. The only thing that changes, is the amount of aura inside them."
"I'm guessing plants have a small amount of it?"
Kite was the one to answer this time.
"Not necessarily."
He pointed to the tree behind him. A large, willow tree that seemed to belong in another world.
"This tree, for example, has the same amount of aura you'd find in a human. A small flower has the amount inside a small animal, the smaller the plant, the smaller the amount of Nen inside."
Wanderer only understood one thing from that.
"So, Nahida can extract the Nen from others?"
Kite nodded.
"She's a manipulator. With enough training, she can manipulate more than her own Nen."
After saying that, Kite stood up and looked at Wanderer.
"Let's continue."
With an annoyed groan, Wanderer continued the previous exercise. Instead of passing out, he would feel a pain in his joints that made him go limb for a couple minutes. But he would get up and continue, his progress steadily growing each time.
Unlike him, Nahida didn't have such luck. Kite had chosen to teach her Gyo first, so she could see aura nodes and then learn to control them.
But each time she tried, she grew exhausted. Sweat forming on her brows as she struggled to breathe. But like Wanderer, she kept at it.
Kite sat with his arms crossed while leaning his back on the willow tree from before, simply watching them train. Wanderer would keep glancing at Nahida while he trained, even stopping when Nahida took a break. It wasn't until she continued training, that he did the same.
They kept at it until dawn, where Kite stopped them by finally moving from his spot and standing up.
"It's getting late. Let's go back to the mansion. I'll show you to your rooms."
