Wanderer slammed his foot onto the rusting, steel bars. Watching it bend to his hit before popping back up with the wonders of a guard's Nen.

"Duck!"

Is all he could say to avoid the magical word. Wanderer huffed and turned back his hands were itching to rip something apart just by remembering the failed conversation with that fat, fish king.

Who knew that learning the man you had been looking for was in another world wouldn't make you happy? No, it made the fish child throw a tantrum and force them out. Wanderer and Ei were more than ready to hold their ground and defeat this 'king.' But their dear guide walked in front of them and shielded them from the king.

Zafira tried using their words, but the king didn't even try to hear them out.

"Guards! Send the liars away! Get them away from me!"

The massive toad slammed its fist on the arm rest of its throne. Shaking the ground enough for the guards and Zafira to falter in place. The king stomped its feet repeatedly, droplets of water leaking from its beady eyes as they glistened.

"Send them away! All of them! To jail now!"

Wanderer frowned as a sudden breeze enveloped him. He raised his hand beside him, the wind surrounding and forming into a sphere of air beneath his hand. Ei grabbed his arm before he could complete it. Her action made his concentration break and caused the sphere to vanish.

Her calm gaze reminded him of Pierro and gave him the silent command to 'stand down.' With a 'tch', he moved his arm closer to himself after slapping her hand away.

When the King finally grew tired and slumped back in its chair, was when the guards rose and took them away. After Ei's interference, Wanderer didn't fight as the guards brought them back down to the nasty dungeon they had entered from and locked them inside. Not even a minute afterward, he broke the rusting steel bars out of frustration.

"Duck! We came here for answers not to get toyed around with by a frog!"

Zafira had their head leaning against the dirty wall as they sulked in a corner. They spoke in a hushed tone while looking down.

"It's my fault, I'm so sorry... I didn't think our king would, react that way. Or that you even had information to begin with..."

Wanderer snapped his head towards them.

"Oh, so it's my fault now?"

Zafira unexpectedly stayed quiet.

"You little-"

"Enough."

He turned to Ei and scoffed.

"What, you think you're in charge now?"

Wanderer frowned at Ei and her nonchalant behavior. He walked towards her and sat out in hatred, stopping a couple steps before her.

"I followed you once, and now you're my boss? Don't even think about it. I'd rather die than become your pawn again."

"Again?"

Ei raised a brow while looking at him.

"I believe this was our first meeting. Unless, there's something you're not telling me."

She walked forward, stopping right in front of him and looking down at him with a cold expression.

"Wanderer, was it? Why do you look just like her?"

Like her? He gave her a nasty scowl and didn't back down, meeting her gaze head on with defiance while she observed him.

"The same eyes, hair color, and face. You're just like, a younger version of her. Similar to..."
