Leorio introduced them to the beetle phone. The most modern phone available despite its odd look. The kids all bought one as well, its grand accessibility to languages and capability of calling even in closed off countries, sold Nahida into buying it with some of the money Kite gave them.

Once both of them had one, Killua suddenly smiled mischievously at Wanderer.

"Speaking of, we still haven't bought you dinner from the hunter exam."

He huffed out in slight annoyance.

"Though, I'm still sure you cheated. How about splitting the bil?"

Wanderer smirked at Killua and huffed.

"Not a chance."

Killua pouted slightly and moved his hands behind his head.

"You're mean. We're just kids, how are we even supposed to pay?"

"I'm sure they'll let you wash some dishes."

"They don't do that anymore! How old are you!?"

Wanderer hummed in thought.

"Older than your great, great grandfather?"

Killua didn't find the 'joke' funny as he frowned.

"Wow, you're just like an old man. Making up stories to get out of paying."

That earned Killua another cheek stretch, and head ruffle.

So that's the first thing they did together after so long. Enter a restaurant and hand the menu over to them. Nahida was quite tame, simply ordering some interesting looking foods. Wanderer ordered the whole menu, and handed it back to the poor waiter.

"This should be fine for a Zoldyck. No?"

Killua shook his head with a playful frown.

"It's my own money, though..."

He sighed and crossed his arms.

"Guess I'm going broke..."

He glanced at Nahida, she smiled at his gaze before turning to Wanderer. The sight of her smile fading and eyebrows lowering made him frown.

"... Just tea and those meatballs with spaghetti. Extra salt."

The waiter smiled gratefully at Nahida before taking their orders. Killua chuckled and leaned on the table.

"Thanks for the pity, mister Hat Guy."

"Sure, sure."

Nahida smiled and asked gently.

"So, what have you three been doing?"

Leorio grinned, ready to show off.

"Other than acing each of my exams, I learned Nen!"

Nahida clapped happily at the news.

"That's great! You wanted to be a doctor, yes?"

Leorio and Nahida kept talking, Killua and Gon turned to Wanderer. Grinning while waiting for him to notice them. It didn't take long, for their excited stares reminded him of another child that also looked at him that way. He raised a brow and glanced their way.

".... What?"

Gon was about to talk when Killua showed his face onto the table, a loud 'bang' occurred by the hit as Killua kept him on the table.

"That flying thing you do, it's Nen! Right!?"

Killua's wide, blue eyes sparkled in question. But Wanderer merely hummed and answered lightly.
