I grabbed my fork tighter in my hand while I pressed my lips into a thin line, narrowing my eyes at the female in front of me. My whole body was tense, and I couldn't help but feel annoyed with her and the male that she so desperately wanted to protect.
Ry kept her gaze on me, her eyes burning with the fire that she had underneath her skin. Her whole body was relaxed, and she didn't look phased that I was getting angry and annoyed with her.
The air in the room grew tense, and a look of nervousness flashed through some of mine and her group's eyes, even though she didn't seem phased at me being angry or annoyed with her at all.
"Ry..." the Vampire king said, his voice barely above a whisper, but she didn't look at him and only kept her gaze on me while she pressed her lips into a thin line. "Stop. (Stop.)" He looked at me before he looked at her. "Te rog. (Please.)"
She rolled her eyes but didn't say a word while she set her jaw and pressed her lips into a thinner line. Her whole body was relaxed, and I couldn't help but be slightly amazed that she was so relaxed, even though she was about to feel the annoyance and anger that I felt for her if she kept this shit up.
"Ry," he said again. He looked at me before he looked at her, and a small nervous scowl appeared on his face. "Nu începe o ceartă când nu este nevoie, (Do not start a fight when it is not needed,)" he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Te rog. (Please.)"
Ry bit back a small snort while she rolled her eyes and scowled, and she kept her gaze on me. "Nu încep nimic, (I am not starting anything,)" she said with a small hum in her voice. "Totuși, voi termina ceva dacă va fi nevoie. (However, I will finish something if I need to.)"
"Nu vei putea câștiga lupta aceea, (You will not be able to win that fight,)" I said and shook my head while I grabbed my fork tighter in my hand, and all I wanted to do was stab it in her hand. "Sper că știi asta. (I hope that you know that.)"
She shrugged and grimaced, pressing her lips into a thin line. She didn't say a word before she started to eat her food again. Her eyes never left me, and the hair on the back of my neck stood at attention while a shiver went down my spine.
Oh, Goddess...
I couldn't help but feel intimidated by her, not knowing what she was planning on doing and hoping that there was some way that I could stop her from doing something that would hurt my group and myself.
"Ry," her mate said softly and placed a hand on the top of her leg. "Stop, please."
Ry bit back an annoyed sigh and rolled her eyes. "I hope that you will not do anything to hurt him, Sam," she said with a small hum in her voice, and the Vampire grew tense beside her. "I need him just as much as I need my other protectors."
"But him specifically because he will know where she is at no matter where she is located," Liam said, and she nodded in confirmation. He rolled his eyes and scowled, narrowing his eyes while he looked at her before he looked at me. "She had been able to block her connection between all of us, but she has not been able to block something that she had set with him."
"Correction, I have set the block up," she said and gave Liam a pointed look with both eyebrows raised in unison. "However, I had set up a different bond with Vulcan, which is why he is able to know where I am at and if I am hurt or not."
"She also has some of his blood as a gem, and she can use that if she is in need of his assistance," one of the kids chirped.
This piqued my interest, and I looked between her and him before I looked at her. "Really?" I asked and raised an eyebrow in question, and she nodded. "And what does the gem do?"
"If I scratch my hand across the gem, then he will taste it and knows where I am located quickly," she said while she ate some of her food. "It sends him into a panic because it basically means that shit has hit the fan, and he needs to get to wherever I am at now."
Oh, Goddess...

The air in the room grew tense when she said that, and her eyes turned a darker gray while she looked at me with a hard look on her face.
No one said a word while we continued to eat the food I had prepared for everyone, except for Vulcan, who was watching everything through half closed eyes while he kept his arms folded across his chest.
"Question," Liam said, breaking the tense silence that had fallen on us, and we looked at him and raised an eyebrow in question. He looked at Ry and frowned, furrowing his brows while he cocked his head to the side. "Did you get a pregnancy test to see if you were pregnant before Vulcan tasted your blood to see it? How did you find out that you were pregnant?"
"Yes, I had used a pregnancy test to say that I was pregnant before Vulcan tasted my blood to see that I was pregnant. I was told by multiple people that I was pregnant before that because I guess I have some habits that only happen when I am." She rolled her eyes and scowled, pressing her lips into a thin line.
"Meaning snacks are going to disappear faster than we can keep them," Thaddeus said, "if there is such a thing here." He shrugged and grimaced.
Rylan rolled her eyes but didn't say anything different. She continued to eat her food, relaxing ever so slightly as if she wasn't worried about me attacking Vulcan yet while we talked about something different.
"But seriously, who did you get the pregnancy test from, Ry?" Luam asked. "Was it from one of the other girls?"
Rylan scowled and rolled her eyes some more. "Well, it wouldn't be from a guy," she said sarcastically, earning a small snort from some of the men. "But it is none of your business as to who gave me the pregnancy test."
Liam scowled and narrowed his eyes at her. He didn't say a word, and she didn't say a word back while she stared at him with a bored look on her face.
"It was for me," a soft voice whispered, breaking the tense silence that had fallen on us, and we turned to look that way to see that it was Becca who had said something. Her cheeks grew red while she blushed, and she looked nervous. "The pregnancy test was from me."
"And?" Liam asked and studied her, his voice barely above a whisper. Shock and nervousness filled his voice while he looked at her, and he bit back a small gulp. "Are you pregnant, Bec?"
Becca smiled sadly and shook her head. "I am not pregnant," she whispered. "I do not know if that is a good thing or not, but I am not pregnant at all."
