My group looked at each other and then looked at me. Worry filled their eyes, and I could tell that they had the same worries as me, even though there was nothing we could do about it; I was pregnant, and unfortunately, that was that and a fact.

"Damn," Rhett said and bit back a tired sigh while he moved a hand through his hair and across his face. He shook his head and cleared his throat, pursing his lips in annoyance. "Are we going to let Cooper know?" he asked and raised an eyebrow in question

I scoffed a laugh and rolled my eyes. "Nah," I said sarcastically. "It's not like he isn't the baby daddy, even though he is the only one that I have slept with and the only man that is allowed to touch me like that. We'll keep it a secret from him."

My brother slowly blinked and looked at me, unamused. He folded his arms across his chest and scowled, knowing full well that I was being sarcastic with him, even though there was no need for me to be sarcastic with him, which was what he was thinking.

I bit back a small smile and tucked my head closer to my chest. "There is always a need for sarcasm, Rhett," I said before I cleared my throat and shifted on my feet while I grew serious. "But yes, I think it is for the best that we, well, I tell him that I am pregnant, especially since he's going to be the dad to the next one."

"Do you think you're going to have another set?" Becca asked and raised an eyebrow in question, and I rolled my eyes and scowled. "I mean, you have only been having multiple children and not just one child with each pregnancy."

"I wouldn't be surprised if it is another set," I said before I cleared my throat and shifted on my feet, and my stomach growled, letting out its anger about not being fed. "Come on, let's go ahead and see if they have food for us. I also want to let him know before we eat." I rubbed my belly and bit back a tired sigh, not knowing how my mate would react to knowing that I was pregnant again.

It didn't help that we were not home and not in a safe place for me and my child...

"You are staying close to us then, Rylan," Rhett said, turning into the protective dad that I knew. He scowled and narrowed his eyes while he stared at me with a hard look in his eyes. "You are not going to galavanting off and be a hero to some poor unfortunate soul. Is that understood?" He raised an eyebrow in question.

I bit back a shocked laugh and started to make my way back to the others with my group and then the other members of Sam's group followed me without me having to tell them. "Galavanting?" I asked and looked at my older brother with a raised eyebrow. "I do not galvant anywhere, Rhett. I do not know what you are talking about with that."

"But you do play hero, Rylan," Rhett said with a small scowl on his face and narrowed eyes while he stared at the back of my head.

"That is because I am technically a hero," I replied with a small shrug, "so it is kind of hard not to act like a hero when it's the only thing that I know how to do." I flashed my brother a small smirk and a wink, and Rhett growled in warning while he narrowed his eyes and scowled.

I flashed him a small smirk before I turned to look forward, growing serious. "I will stay safe with whatever I have to do or not," I said, tucking my head closer to my chest. "I won't do anything too stupid and risk the life of myself or my child."

"But you are going to go somewhere by yourself if you need to," Rhett said with a small warning in his tone. "Aren't you?" He narrowed his eyes and scowled, biting back a small growl.

"But of course," I said and nodded. "That is not going to stop if I am pregnant or not." I rubbed my belly and bit the inside of my lip, biting back a tired sigh. "I do not want them to be born here, so I want to leave as soon as possible."

"We all do," Celeste said, and I glanced at her from the corner of my eye. "I mean, we all have families here, and no offence, but you trusting a Vampire the way that you are is kind of creepy to me." She looked at Vulcan, and Vulcan glanced at her before he looked away, setting his jaw.

I held back an eye roll and pressed my lips into a thin line, feeling annoyed. "You'd be surprised about who and what I trust," I said coldly. "Are you saying that you do not know other species and trust them?" I raised an eyebrow in question and continued to look forward, not wanting to look at them just yet.

"Well, there is a w- Ow, Celeste. What was that for?" Cason rubbed his head when she smacked him, and he scowled and narrowed his eyes. "That hurt."

"Shut up, Cason," Celeste said with a small growl in her voice. She scowled and narrowed her eyes, daring him to keep saying his sentence after she stopped him. "You know better."

I raised the eyebrow higher in question and looked between the two of them, amused. "What's going on?" I asked and cocked my head to the side while I studied him. "What were you going to say, Cason?" I looked at the "Werewolf Prince," silently praying that he would tell me whatever it was he wanted to say.

Celeste raised her hand and both eyebrows in unison. Sue gave him a look that told him she would smack him into next week if he answered my question.

Cason flinched and took a step away from her, raising his hands in surrender to make sure that it was in the way if she carried out her threat. "Unfortunately, it looks like I am not able to answer that question, Rylan," he said. "My apologies."

I shrugged and pressed my lips into a thin line, earning a snicker from my older brother. "Ry is just fine," I said. "No one calls me Rylan unless they are mad at me or want me to listen to them."

"And even then, she doesn't listen to anyone," Rhett grumbled and folded his arms across his chest. He rolled his eyes and scowled after he gave me a pointed look, raising an eyebrow in question. "Isn't that right, Rylan Regina?"

I rolled my eyes and wrinkled my nose, pursing my lips in annoyance. "Why the middle name, Rhett?" I asked, not answering his question. "Why do you have to insist on using my middle name when you don't have to?"

"To see if you were paying attention or not," he said and shrugged, grimacing, even though a small smile wanted to appear on his face. "And thankfully, you were."

I rolled my eyes and scowled, biting back a small growl of annoyance. I did not say a word while I turned my attention back to the way that we were going, hoping that my mate was safe and would be fine with me carrying another child of his.

Oh Goddess, keep us safe...
