Chapter 20

After that episode on the boat they finally arrived on a desert Island. They were free. Now the problem was to survive and find a way to get out of there immediately. For some days they found food, water and JJ decided to create a flag.
JJ: This place is now ours, so we need a flag
JB: come on JJ it's ridiculous. We'll be here just for some time and then we wil leave
J: I think it's the best idea JJ has ever had in his entire life
JJ: thank you Jane. Always funny
They both laughed and then Jane went away with Kiara to find some food.

K: Are you ok after that?
J: You mean after that JJ proposed to create a flag?
K: ahahahah no not after that. I'm talking about what happened on the boat
J: well it was shocking for everyone
K: yes but you left Rafe on that boat
J: what are gou talking about Kie?
Jane stopped for a moment and looked at Kie, trying to be the most calm possible.
K: We all saw you and him. You were both really...close
J: Yes because we were fighting
Kie stopped walking and so did Jane
K: Oh Come on J don't try to hide it because it's evident.
J: I don't wanna talk about this Kie. Now just focus on your steps.

After that Jane kept walking without saying a word. She didn't want to be rude at her best friend but now she was too stressed. Kie didn't get offended by those words because she knew her friend, but she was just worried about her.

Jane's mind
Why everyone is asking me about me and Rafe. J don't even know what I feel. I just hope to come back home.
But what about Rafe? Is he safe? What is he doing right now?

While they were trying to survive on that island, Rafe and his family arrived at the destination and immediately took care of Ward, who was hurted badly by JB.

After some hours Wheeze and Rafe stayed alone.
W: are you sad?
R: I mean it's dad, but he's ok so-
W: I'm not talking about him
For some seconds Rafe didn't say a word and just looked at his little sister
W: I'm talking about what happened on the boat
R: About Sarah?
W: About Jane.
"Jane". Again that name. Rafe now was looking at nothing trying to find the right words.
R: What do you wanna know?
W: I wanna know nothing. But, do you know what there is between you and her?
That girl was so smart that even her brother couldn't answer at that question. He was trying to respond in a good way but now he was panicking.
R: It's none of your business Wheeze.
After that he stood up and went away.

Rafe's mind
What does she want from me? What does she know about me and Jane? If anyone finds out I'm fucked. I need to talk to Jane but I don't even know how to find her. I need dad.

After that conversation he decided to talk with his dad. "Hey dad, how do you feel?". Ward was in the bed. "I'm good son. Where are those motherfuckers?". Rafe felt some rage inside of him. That term "motherfuckers" was also for Jane, but he couldn't show any emotion. "I don't know dad. They disappeared". Ward was thinking about a plan. "I need to find them". After those words Rafe immediately looked at his father. If he would have found them, that would have mean that also Jane could have been found. "What's your plan?" asked Rafe politely, but full of energy. "I'm gonna send a plane and then it will bring them here". It was a wonderful news.
After that Rafe went out of the room and immediately contacted the perfect guy for that "mission"

That night the Pogues tried to sleep, but Jane was still awake so she decided to find something to smoke. After finding the right stuff she sat right in front of the ocean."How did you do that joint?" asked someone behind her. She immediately turned back and saw the blondie guy. "JJ you scared the shit out of me" said the girl.
JJ: Sorry I didn't mean to. Can I?
Said him pointing a free space near her where he could sit down
J: of course dumbass. Take this. It's good.
The girl gave the joint to her bestfriend. JJ: It's fucking good
J: I know right? this green thing is amazing
JJ: Yeah. We should stay here for more time
They both laughed.
Jane needed to talk with someone about her situation with Rafe and the only person that she fully trusted was right there.
J: Today Kie asked about me and Rafe
JJ looked at her. Maybe he also knew
JJ: and what did she want to know?
J: She thinks there's something between me and him
JJ: and is she right?
Jane looked at him while he was taking again the joint. It was the right moment to talk about her feelings and face them.
J: I don't know... I mean I fucking hate him, but for some reason he's always kind with me
JJ: and how are you with him?
J: well...I kinda care about him. But I don't even know why. It's a weird feeling. Every time I'm with him I feel different. I'm nervous but in a positive way and I feel safe. Please don't look at me like that.
JJ: I'm just listening
J: Do you think I'm crazy or wrong?
JJ: I think that even if I would like to kill him, I don't think you are crazy or wrong. I just think that you should admit your feelings.
J: So you don't hate me?
She asked with a smirk on her face
JJ: No I don't
He replied laughing.
J: thank you JJ. I love you
JJ: I do too.

Now Jane was more relieved. Her best friend didn't hate her but now was the moment to understand something more about that situation.

After the joint they both stood up and tried to sleep, but before that Jane called him.
J: emh ... JJ
JJ: what?
J: can you just do not talk about this with the others? I will do it, but just not right now
JJ: Of course. Don't worry. Good night Jane
J: Good night JJ.
