Braelyn wasn't bothered when Elion came in at 7 AM she knew exactly what he had been doing and who he had been doing. It mattered very little to her "I hope your little slave is on birth control cousin". Her tone was painfully dry as she continued staring at the papers in her hand, golden-rimmed glasses perched on her nose as she looked up at him. Elion however was not intimidated and chose to address the events of the previous night "Caroline Forbes, you want her to be yours?"

Braelyn placed the papers flat on the table and glanced at Elion her features calm too calm "Want her to be mine?" Braelyn whispered before laughing loudly "Oh no cousin she is mine and once the ceremony is done, she will stay mine for eternity".

Something in her tone was darker than normal almost possessive. Elion swallowed nervously before smiling trying to keep his composure "What about Klaus Mikaelson?". Normally golden-brown eyes were now dark almost like staring into the pit "Do you think he doesn't know who he belongs to?" Braelyn licked her lips and tilted her head ever so slightly "They are both mine and they will stay mine".

Elion sighed the Bennett possessiveness had reared its ugly head and pulsed through his cousin's magic. Caroline Forbes and Klaus Mikaelson belonged to Braelyn Bennett and the only thing that would stand between her and what she had claimed was death. Unfortunately for many that would no longer be a problem soon.

Caroline waved as Braelyn pulled and drove away, the building was beautiful and had a large garden. Braelyn had mentioned it was a private estate maybe that was why. As she walked up the stairs a woman appeared she was tall and incredibly beautiful, her hair was the darkest shade of black she had ever seen, and it flowed freely down to her knees. Her eyes were black but somehow Caroline found herself thinking of the night sky.

"You must be Miss. Forbes Braelyn told us of you." Caroline was shocked by how soothing her voice was before she could ask any more questions the woman gestured to a room and opened the door "You shall be staying here; in a few minutes my sisters shall prepare you for the cleansing ritual".

As the door closed behind the blonde all she could think was 'What Ritual?'

Jeremy Gilbert was once again avoiding his sister, all she cared about was bossing him around. Elene kept trying to take their mother's place and it was annoying. Their parents would still be alive if she had not snuck out and gone to that party. This was all her fault. In his state, he failed to notice how far he had gone till he bumped into someone "Oh I'm sorry" was all he managed to say before the girl looked at him and narrowed her eyes.

"You were at my gram's funeral what are you doing here?". Jeremy took the time to look at the girl her dark skin and hazel eyes were complimented by a light blue strapless sundress. She had a large afro and wore no jewellery her bag however had a familiar symbol on it "You're a Bennett, I thought most of you left town".

The girl laughed and tilted her head "We did but my family lives here we are only a 3-hour drive from Mystic Falls" Jeremy felt his body tense "I'm in a different town? I walked for three hours in a daze." The girl watched him with some concern and then took his hand "I'm Sadira let's go get you some coffee".

Unknown to the boy the girl had felt her cousin's magic all over him and knew exactly what had happened. The boy was alone, and the fact Braelyn used the companion spell on him meant that she was to play some part in his life. Hopefully, not romantically cause while he was cute and probably the same age as her, fifteen-year-old Sadira wanted someone like her. Hiding who you are from someone you love was never a good idea and she wanted freedom in her relationships.

Jeremy Gilbert returned home almost 8 hours later with a bright smile and a new friend if he suddenly broke Damon's compulsion and was suddenly compulsion-proof when he returned, he did not comment on it. Sadira Bennett was a compelling girl, and she had her ways of ensuring that her friends were safe.

Jeremy however was pissed and walked up to his siters room and grabbed her diary before walking over to his sleeping aunt and shaking her lightly "Jenna wake up". The woman startled and sat up watching as her nephew threw Elena's journal at her "Read it now". From the look of fury on the boy's face she quickly assumed something had happened to her niece but the more she read the more horrified she became "This can't be true" she repeated after every page it was too accurate to be heartfelt to be faked.

Horror filled her every nerve as she understood what her niece had been born into what her friends were and why her behaviour had changed. Jeremy quickly grabbed some of the liquid vervain Sadira had given him and turned to Jenna "How do you feel about a vervain tattoo".

Jenna did not hesitate and grabbed her keys "Let's go". The two made their way to the quickest tattoo pallor Jenna recognised a few of the artists and walked over to an old friend "Hey can you give us tattoos with a small special request".

The woman lifted a heavily pierced eyebrow as Jenna held up the bottle "Our great-grandmother used to put this in with her tattoo ink we were wondering if you wouldn't mind doing the same" The shorter woman glanced at Jeremy then Jenna and nodded "Sure once this is only for members of your family"

It took six hours before the two left both with new permanent markings on their skin, the rest of their vervain was enough to add to their drinks tonight. Jenna however was clutching the steering wheel as tears ran down her face. She felt betrayed and hurt, anger filled her as she realised how much danger with logan she could have avoided.

Why didn't Elena say anything then? She fell in love with a vampire okay she could learn to accept that, her best friend was a witch she could also accept that. She had a twin out there who was a 500-year-old vampire hard to swallow but all of that she could accept for the sake of family.

Did Elena think that keeping her family out of the loop and compelling them to forget was protecting them or keeping them safe? Or did she think that because she was also a part of the supernatural only, she deserved to know? What Jenna did know was that she needed to get a new place to live and the sooner the better.
