Elijah Mikealson did not know what to expect when he got the message about a doppelganger in Mystic Falls. At first, he wanted to ignore it but then he saw the many photos of the girl with her friends. So, he decided to meet the informant hopefully he could get rid of them before his brother found out. That doppelganger was younger than Katerina and had already gone through too much. He entered the old, abandoned building in the woods instantly he knew that something was wrong.
It was a woman, and she was alone he took the time to watch her, smooth chocolate-brown skin that seemed to glow in the sunlight. There was no sign of scaring or any visible imperfections. Full lips were curved into a knowing smirk while covered in a shade of red he had thought was no longer used. Her clothing was elegant but flowing and an expensive pearl necklace hung around her neck. She was an absolute vision of perfection and that was the problem. She was too perfect.
Louis Vuitton pumps clicked against the wooden floors as she walked closer to him eyes the colour of honey met his sharp gaze and suddenly he felt the hairs on his neck raise. For the first time, he felt like prey. "Hello Elijah" she offered him her hand and he found that he couldn't refuse. "I should introduce myself; I am Braelyn Bennett, but you may know me as the kahinat ealia".
Suddenly Elijah understood his fear and no longer cared for the doppelganger or avenging his brother he wanted to run. But before he could leave, she blew powder in his face, and everything went black.
Braelyn stared blankly at the fallen original. She knew he would recognize her true title, but she never expected him to try and run. Now she had to get him out of here and hidden from sight before she went to see her dear Caroline. Grumbling, she used her magic to form a wooden coffin around him before lugging it into her car and driving back to the house. Luckily Elion dealt with the rest he would be watching over the coffin while she went to admire her little fae. A fair price for the favour she did him. Not that either would admit it.
Miss Mystic Falls would be starting in three hours. She promised Caroline that she would be there at least two hours before to help her get ready. Braelyn had styled her hair early that morning and was lucky to have picked out her outfit and makeup in advance. Within thirty minutes she was dressed and, on her way, to help the blonde.
Caroline waited anxiously; she had not allowed anyone into her room. She wanted Braelyn there with her. Luckily her prayers were answered when she heard a familiar voice "Little Fae". Immediately she flung open the door and pulled the older woman in. Braelyn was taller than her and it always made her feel safe to be wrapped in her arms. "Let's get you ready".
Caroline relaxed and allowed Braelyn to take control, the woman carefully started on Caroline's makeup she wanted the girl to shine. After she finished the girl's makeup a small smile appeared. Luckily, she had managed to style the blonde's hair with her magic. It was time to get her into the dress.
Thirty minutes later Braelyn was smiling widely as Caroline looked at herself in the mirror in shock "Is that me?". The older woman gently placed a hand on Caroline's shoulder "You look gorgeous now go win your crown".
Braelyn quickly made her way into the main area stopping when the Sheriff grabbed her arm "Why did you come out of Caroline's room?". Her blue eyes were narrowed into a glare while Braelyn just blankly looked at her. "Helping my friend get ready she needed someone to do her hair and makeup. I got her gown custom-made for her and I'm supporting her when her mother chooses to work over her again".
Liz flinched and stepped back releasing her hold on the girl and then the event began. The crowd watched as the girls lined up and eyes fell on Caroline. Elena felt her eyes widen, Caroline looked like a fairy tale princess, and she glowed. Who had gotten her such a beautiful dress seeing as Sheriff Forbes hardly spent time with her daughter Elena wondered who had helped the blonde.
