Liz watched the area where the two girls had been standing with sad eyes before turning to Caroline. She expected to see some remorse on her daughter's face but only saw relief, her daughter's usually kind eyes were filled with an expression she couldn't place. "You are not going after them?"

Caroline turned to her mother and started laughing, Liz noticed that the smile lines her daughter had were gone suddenly she realized her daughter looked too perfect. Reaching into her bag she grabbed the vervain water and spilled some on her hands before grabbing Caroline's arm "Why is Bonnie's pain so relieving to you!". There was no reaction, not even a hiss of pain or a look of discomfort just laughter.

Caroline gently and slowly pulled away before sniffing her arm "Vervain you I suppose you also knew about what goes bump in the night and didn't tell me just like the others". Liz flinched at the almost bored tone Caroline had stated it in before stepping back. "My daughter would have comforted her friend".

Suddenly, Liz recognized what was different the subtle twitch of her daughters' fingers and pained disinterest had she missed another fight? Caroline could feel her mother's curiosity and just smirked "There was no fight Bonnie and Elena have always preferred life without me, friends don't abandon you or hurt you. So, I guess as of the last few years we haven't been friends".

Liz watched as her daughter happily turned and walked into the kitchen, she could not help but hiss the words at her daughter's back "And Braelyn is?" The room went quiet, and Caroline paused before slowly turning to her mother. "You do not get to speak her name when you were one of the people defending Rudy." Liz flinched and looked at the ground in shame as her daughter called her out on one of her biggest regrets. Yet Caroline wasn't finished "Braelyn is my best friend."

The blonde fae left the room without another word, her mother stood there in shock. Her daughter had seemingly betrayed her friends but based on what Caroline said were they really her friends?

She slumped down into a chair and sighed then narrowed her eyes the nickname Braelyn had used for her daughter bothered her and she was quite suspicious. She would need to pay more attention to the Bennett family. Grabbing her keys she decided to visit Rudy.

Bonnie barged into her house with tears in her eyes her father jumped up from the couch and looked at her "What's wrong?" She stared at the man she had idolized over the years "Was Mum married before you two got married?". She watched as her father winced and looked at the ground in shame.

Before he walked over to the cupboard and pulled out his bottle of vodka "Yes" he poured the alcohol into a large mug and took a huge gulp. Bonnie however looked at him in horror "Is it true you forced her to marry you?" her eyes filled with tears when the man once again drank more of the drink and then nodded "She was mine, I had every right, but her stupid family fought against me and tried to save her, so I got a restraining order."

Bonnie watched her father in horror she could not recognize him the man she knew was a calm, loving family man yet here her father was cold, possessive and manipulative. She slowly turned to walk away when he grabbed her. "Then you were born, and she could not take much anymore on your fifth birthday she had me served and then ran away" Bonnie watched in horror as her father laughed and threw the cup across the room in rage.

"You are just like me Bonnie the only good thing I got after ripping Abby from her so-called husband." Saliva flew out his mouth as he hissed the words. "I accepted her even if she was a used whore, yet you were such a nice dutiful daughter who took my hatred and turned it into your own you chased her spawn with that man out of our faces and despised Abby for leaving just like you were supposed to". Bonnie backed away from her father with tears in her eyes.

The weight of her actions crashed down on her as her shoulders shook suddenly her father looked to the door and laughed "Hi Liz, I suppose she found out through you" The Sheriff stood with a grim expression on her face Rudy's words had been a wakeup call to the woman who had always pretended that Abby had left like a flighty teenage girl. Now she could no longer deny the truth "She overheard an argument between Myself and Caroline over her relationship with Braelyn".

The man nodded before looking at the fallen photo of Abby and himself after Bonnie was born "Right Braelyn she ruined everything." For once Bonnie and Liz could not blame the girl and instead stared at Rudy with disapproval.

_____

Elena entered the house with a frown before noticing the quiet atmosphere and sighed. Jenna had been ignoring her for some reason and Jeremy was following her but today that was coming to an end. "Jenna you can't keep ignoring me I did nothing to you". Her aunt looked up from her seat and put her book down, Jeremy closed his sketch pad and watched the two women.

Finally, Jenna spoke "Then are you going to tell me the truth or compel me to forget" Her statement was said with so much fact and vitriol that Elena winced before her eyes widened. She watched as Jeremy just smirked and continued drawing. "H-How did you" Jenna raised an eyebrow at the girl and cut her off "Know? Compulsion has its limits maybe one of your boyfriends can tell you".

Jenna felt ready to confront her niece "You hid this from us, you took your brother's free choice away and removed his memories! WHAT GAVE YOU THE RIGHT TO MAKE THESE DECISIONS YOU ARE A CHILD!"

Elena looked at her aunt and scoffed "Why should I tell you? I'm a doppelganger a born supernatural entity you and Jeremy are not meaning that you do not need to get involved" Her tone was a bit haughty and neither her aunt nor brother could stand it. Finally, Jenna broke and smiled "Then you may stay here by yourself Jeremy and I are leaving".

Elena froze "Wait, what do you mean leaving?" Jeremy stood up and walked to his room while Jenna just stared at Elena with disgust "Jeremy sighed the house over to you and we have already packed up all our belongings and had them shipped to our new place. You are not welcome, and neither are your boy toys."

Elena watched as her brother walked down with his suitcase and made his way to Jenna's car her aunt just grabbed her purse and the duffel bag on the couch and walked out. "From now on you are on your own Elena."

Suddenly Elena felt abandoned as the reality of her situation crashed down on her. She watched as the car pulled out of the driveway and sped off. How could they abandon her?
