Bonnie Bennett sat in Caroline's living room with a nervous look on her face, the blonde sat across from her with a blank expression. "What do you want Bonnie?". She stared at Caroline and sighed "I'm here to apologize for how I treated you for leaving you out and not being a better friend." Caroline stared blankly at the girl her instincts were pushing her to kick Bonnie out, yet she didn't.
"We are not friends. We are childhood acquaintances". Bonnie felt her heart drop and tears welled up in her eyes. She should have expected that answer after everything they had put Caroline through. Bonnie nodded and slowly got up thanking Caroline for her time before leaving the house. As she made her way down the stairs a familiar car pulled up and out came Braelyn. Bonnie had last seen her at the Miss Mystic Falls Pageant she had been avoiding her older sister as all she felt whenever she looked at Braelyn was guilt and shame.
Her sister however did not look at her and instead seemed to be staring at something behind her. Glancing over her shoulder she saw Caroline standing on the veranda. A soft smile was on her face she looked happy and oh....
Now she got it that was an expression of love. Something she currently didn't have but desired strongly. Bonnie quickly made her way onto the pavement and crossed the street walking far enough for them to not see her. Turning back, she saw how Braelyn hugged Caroline and kissed her head before the two slipped inside the house.
Walking back to her dad's house she decided to climb through the bedroom window, she had left while her dad was asleep. Walking up to the house her shoulders relaxed when she noticed his car was gone. But being cautious she slipped around back and climbed through the window. Her shower was still running while Mya's Case of Ex played in the background. Slipping out of her dress and leggings she stepped into the shower and cried.
Rudy Hopkins sat at his kitchen table with a frown on his face as he heard his daughter weeping in the shower. Liz had called him an hour ago to tell him that Braelyn was considering suing for custody of her younger sister. On the grounds of parental neglect and emotional abuse. Why did Braelyn even want Bonnie she was his daughter. Suddenly the thought occurred Bonnie had found out that she was a witch.
He waited for two more hours for the girl to come down. When she didn't, he assumed that she had cried herself to sleep. Unfortunately for Rudy, his daughter was not asleep but was carefully reading the book Braelyn had given her. Tomorrow her dad would be leaving for work once again maybe then she could approach Braelyn without him finding out.

Elizabeth Forbes knew she had messed up as a parent she was not stupid, but Caroline was an independent child she would understand it. So, when her daughter entered the station with paperwork that she assumed was for school she just signed them all without reading. She never noticed Jenna standing behind Caroline videotaping the whole interaction. Or that Jeremy was taking photos due to how busy she was. Only after her daughter left did she notice how Caroline didn't even say goodbye.
Caroline however walked out of the office with shaking hands the first document was one permitting Caroline to move into her own home without any issues. The second document was a petition for emancipation and the third document was Elizabeth relinquishing her parental rights to Jenna Sommers.
Jenna hugged the girl as she silently stared at the papers what made matters worse was that her father through a certain spell had also signed the same documents. She would still be a Forbes, but she would no longer be their responsibility. The trio left the station ready to file all the paperwork with the courts. While the girl's parents were unaware of the huge mistake they had just made.

Elena was frantic, Bonnie was avoiding her, and Stefan was acting weird and now she had found out that her mother required a device that would expose the vampires in the town. She glanced at Damon who seemed furious while Stefan and Alaric looked worried.
Finally, she spoke "Damon call Bonnie maybe she can deactivate the spell" Damon raised an eyebrow before taking a sip of his bourbon "That witch hates me why would she do that?". He was right and she hated it, but they needed to do something "Please Damon" the man groaned and called the girl expecting her to decline his call. To his surprise, she answered, "What do you want Damon".
She sounded tired and as if she had been crying, Damon felt the need to comfort her before he snapped out of it "Look witchy we need your help." There was a long silence then a scoff "No Damon, I won't help you can all rot in hell knowing you won't find a witch strong enough to help your selfish conceited ass".
Stefan felt his jaw drop after Bonnie had finished her little statement and the glass in Damon's hand shattered as he snarled into the phone "Don't mean to burst your bubble judgy but your sister is a better witch.". That is when the girl started laughing hysterically and now Stefan started to realise Bonnie was still in mourning and they had been the reason behind her gram's death why would she help them?
Bonnie however decided there and then that she was done "My sister hates you more than I do good luck getting her help" Then she hung up. Damon now looked at Elena and sighed "Ask another Bennett I'm done with them".
As the vampire stormed off Alaric sighed and picked up the device "Let's go ask Braelyn." The trio got in the car and drove to Bennett house. Elena's eyes widened when she saw the newly redesigned home from the beautiful garden to the rebuilt house. It felt the same but looked different as Alaric parked the car a woman walked out onto the porch. She was pale with long red hair and dark eyes yet behind her was Braelyn they spoke and then the woman vanished.
Elena paled she knew that many other beings existed but that was not supposed to be possible. Stefan was the first to exit the vehicle. He waited on Alaric and Elena before the trio walked up to the gate. Something was stopping them from entering the property and they decided to wait. Braelyn walked out to the front of her property and raised an eyebrow "What do you want?" Elena shakily handed over the device and explained what had happened.
Braelyn frowned "This was enchanted by Emily, yet a vampire wants to use it to expose all the supernaturals in this town". Stefan was surprised at her statement "It exposes witches as well?" Braelyn smirked "No witches even immortal ones are still technically human. Werewolves triggered or untriggered, vampires, heretics and sirens however would be affected. The Ancients probably not I shall de-enchant it but for a price".
Stefan looked nervous but nodded and Braelyn grinned before looking at Elena "Come with me". Hesitantly Elena followed Braelyn into the house and the witch pulled out a dagger alongside a document "Sign that" Elena without pause sighed off the document and then watched as Braelyn cut her palm and bled into the bowl before doing the same to her and then soaking the document in it. It glowed gold before fading away, Braelyn smirked and walked out with Elena "The price has been paid for in blood."
The woman then held the device and started whispering in a mixture of languages they watched as her heavily decorated braided hair floated, and the winds became almost storm-like. Then it all stopped. Braelyn handed back the device with a bored expression "Dow what you wish". After that the witch walked back into her house without another word. Stefan turned to Elena, and she immediately recounted what happened. The vampire stiffened and his eyes narrowed "We need to leave now".
Only after they left did Braelyn glance at her laptop where her baby cousin's face was showing as she continued to read the family coven book. "So did they come?" Bonnie asked even though her eyes were glued to the book and Braelyn nodded "You were right they are desperate". Bonnie closed the book and then looked at her cousin "I want to join the family coven through the ancient judgements" Braelyn looked at her little sister and smiled "When your father leaves then we will begin."
