Elena hated not having her defenders around. Stefan was still unconscious, and Damon was too busy taking care of his brother for her to manipulate him. Bonnie had not even apologised for sicking her sister on Stefan. Teenagers filled the halls and gossip filled the air, making Elena miss Caroline for once. Slamming her locker shut, Elena turned towards the cramped hallway and swerved through the crowds, avoiding any possible collisions with her classmates.
To her surprise, leaning against her locker was Caroline, and she was smiling with a shorter girl. She had no idea if this was a new student. The girl was of African descent. Her natural hair was out, if Elena had to guess curl enhancer and gel caused it to reach a little under her shoulders. Elena had to admit from behind the girl looked attractive. Her petite frame was something many envied, and she was slim with curves in all the right places. The black jeans clung to her before vanishing into knee-high leather boots, and the green hater top made her look like a model from behind.
Elena wanted the good-looking girl on her side and decided to approach her with a "Hey Caroline." Elena's surprise grew when the girl turned around and revealed herself to be Bonnie. The transformation was shocking. "H-hey Bonnie, you look different". The younger girl just rolled her eyes, her glossed lips pressed together before she just nodded at Caroline and walked away. Elena stared after her ex-friend's frame before turning to Caroline.
"Why would she change her look that much I thought she was happy?" Caroline stared blankly at the doppelgänger, just rolled her eyes and walked off. Bonnie, who had entered the first possible classroom, slipped on her jacket and sat in the back of the class. She shared this class with Elena, so she wanted to avoid any conversation with the girl.
The younger girl walked in and gave Matt a bright smile before sitting next to Tyler, which surprised him. The Lockwood teen could not believe that it was the usually shy and reserved Bonnie sitting next to him. Yet the girl did not even acknowledge him and instead pulled out her phone.
Tyler froze when he saw the image on it. Bonnie stood next to Braelyn, her hair undone and held only by a simple hair comb, and she wore a bright smile. Bonnie's skin seemed to glow as the white silk robe draped against it. While Braelyn seemed proud, her hands pulled Bonnie into a hug. It was a huge shock after knowing that the two hardly got along.
Elena walked in shortly before the bell, and she glued her eyes to Bonnie's frame, yet Bonnie ignored her. After recovering and having the magic clouding her mind destroyed, Bonnie wanted nothing to do with Elena anymore. Bonnie, with Braelyn's help, put herself before the spirits of her ancestors who welcomed her with open arms and apologised as they did not realise what was happening to her. Her cousins had come that night and she bonded with family both in magic and emotionally.
Bonnie Bennett was not a walkover, and it was time Elena accepted that. The class continued with Bonnie ignoring Elena and Elena trying to get her attention. Once the class let out, Bonnie walked over to Elion, who waited patiently by the door a small smirk on his face. "Cousin, it's time to go" He spoke clearly enough for Elena to realise Bonnie had fixed her family situation.
Both Bennetts watched as Elena scowled before storming off. Elion let out a scoff before glancing at his younger cousin. "Now you see it" Bonnie nodded and turned towards the woman standing behind Elion. "You must be the famed Adrienne".
The siren smiled and leaned into Elion's arms. Bonnie stared blankly at the couple before she followed them out to the car. Braelyn had informed her about the relationship and why she allowed it. She needed to find her own partner. Braelyn had a higher tolerance, but the others had to find release somehow.
The closer they got to the car, the more Bonnie became aware of her magic, warning her of something. Grabbing Elion and Adrienne, she quickly grabbed them and made a distance between them and the vehicle. Before Elion could even ask, the car blew up in flames.
Elion stared before he called Braelyn. The scent rising from the flames was witch hazel and familiar herbs. Bonnie frowns and makes her way over to Caroline who for once seems to be fuming "Damon" was all the blonde said and Bonnie follows her gaze to see the vampire standing in the woods with a smile on his face.
When they made contact, he mouthed one word to the witch "Retribution" Braelyn would not be happy.
Braelyn was seated in the grill when she got the call. She allowed Elion to explain before she let out a small laugh. "I see well I shall pay Mister Salvatore a visit later today, however, right now I have a guest".
As the call ended, Braelyn stared at the man across from her. "Welcome to Mystic Falls"
Niklaus Mikealson observed the woman before him with a small smirk, his blue eyes filled with mischief and interest. "It's good to be back".
Braelyn watched on with a small smirk on her face before she drank from her glass. Her eyes filled with intrigue. 'Klaus Mikealson I wonder what chaos you will bring, Poor Elena she won't even get the time to mourn her dear Stefan when this is all over' A sinister smile formed on her face at the thought really Elena should not have made an enemy of her and her coven.
It took two hours for the Bennetts to arrive home after dealing with the Sheriff and her deputies. When they entered the house, none of them expected to see Braelyn or her guest. In the centre of the room lay a coffin, and the two seemed to be making a deal. Braelyn looked at her cousins and smirked. "Elion, Bonnie I would like to introduce you to Niklaus Mikealson" Elion froze while Bonnie tilted her head in interest, her eyes taking in his frame.
"Is he yours?" Bonnie inquired without even acknowledging the man, and Braelyn laughed. "Yes," Klaus listened to the exchange with a smirk on his face. He would have to talk to Braelyn about this supposed claim later. Not that he minded she was a beautiful woman and something about her drew him in.
Bonnie expressed her disappointment with a sigh, saying, "What a shame. He is quite attractive. I wish I had a brother like him." Elion seemed horrified and let out a croak, while Klaus burst into laughter. "Little Wicca, Kol would be infatuated with you," Klaus remarked. Bonnie smiled and nodded, adding, "Let me know when I can meet him. I have homework to do."
As Bonnie left the room, Elion glanced at the Original and sighed. "Just don't leave me a mess. I can't clean up". Klaus nodded and watched as the man walked outside before turning to Braelyn. "I wasn't aware I was something that you could own?" The smile he got in return made him wonder if he was capable enough to handle the mystery that was Braelyn Bennett.
