Love Operation: Don't Become The Villainess

CHAPTER 18: I STILL CAN'T REALLY ANSWER THAT.

Once upon a time, there was nothing.

Nothing but an abyss of pitch black darkness and vacant emptiness. Then, a God came to this nothingness and thus created the universe, galaxies and planets, including the nature and living beings such as humanity in these planets. He did this as there was too much love, care and intellect in his being, he wanted to spread it out into the infinities to create beautiful worlds for all of the nature to see and experience for themselves. He created life, as a companion for the cold and dark nothingness also.

But milleniums have passed, as these beings he created continue to develop, they have slowly started to forget the basics of the simple nature of the world. Constant greed for power and wealth gradually took over humanity until it has slowly devoured and destroyed their system. Love, care and intellect was overpowered by hatred, violence and insanity.

When he determined the fate of the world he has created to be too late, he had the plans of destroying it and creating a new one. In other words, salvation.

However, surprisingly, the remaining bits of humanity left in the world manifested into gods and goddesses. Thus, the known universal six divinities were conceived, saving the world from utter destruction as they changed the mind of the almighty Primal Father God from destroying it. In the end, God left the worlds he created into the hands of the six, without anyone knowing where he went or what he's doing after he left. Some say he went to another vacant space to create another world, others say he put himself in deep slumber to rest, etc. Many people have varying opinions about his whereabouts.

These six are all a part of one religion but they are worshipped separately.

They are Mordall, god of being;

Qulaos, goddess of rationale;

Irysus, god of morale;

Somses, god of perception;

Okona; goddess of knowledge;

And Agen, god of beauty.

Their religion is considered to be the largest with their billions of followers. When you worship one of the divinities, kasama na ang pagworship at acknowledge kay Father God. There are also other gods and goddesses along with them, and other religions aside from theirs as well.

Overall, the religion is called Spectra with their followers known as the Enlightened Ones. Its official sacred scripture is called Speculo.

Noong una, akala ko sa totoong mundo ko lang naaapply ang ganitong klase ng relihiyon. But by talking about it, Catherine's old memories and knowledge about this religion resurfaced. I have memories of her learning about it in school, so this religion is also taught here in this world. Though I think it's a given because the author--creator of their world is actually one of the six, just like in the case of my original world.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was Mordy," he said, placing his index finger on top of his chin as if he's thinking, "I should go to him and ask him about you."

I cleared my throat, "P-pwede mo rin bang sabihin sa akin kung anong nalaman mo kung sakaling may nakalap kang impormasyon?"

"Yes, of course," he agreed, "Although I have something to ask you."

"What is it?"

The waters beneath his feet rippled. That's when I noticed the cyan-colored deep waters began to glow brighter.

"For some reason... I feel nice right now," he smiled gently, "So I'm giving you a choice."

The stars in the sky began to sparkle brighter. Unti-unti akong nahilo nang lumabo ang kapaligiran ko, "W-what is it?" hindi ko napigilang mautal dahil sa pagkalito.

"Do you want to stay in the world of Beloved Jade? Or do you want to stay here with me? In this void I call my abode," he slightly raised both of his open hands beside him, "I can alter this world to your liking, to provide you with the utmost comfort as much as possible. In here, you won't have to worry about anything. You can just stay here and relax until we figure out your situation. Besides, I don't mind a little company."

Bahagyang napakunot ako ng noo, "Why?"

He shrugged his shoulders, "Just for the sake of giving you a choice."

"What do you mean by that--"

"My dear Child," he chuckled, eyes glimmering with the same intensity as the stars, "You should avoid questioning the gods too much."

Drops of water gradually floated from the endless waters below our feet to the skies, hanggang sa bumilis ang pag-angat ng mga ito na tila umuulan nang malakas mula sa baba.

Napapikit ako nang maramdaman ang mga patak ng tubig sa aking mukha, ang aking buong katawan ay tuluyan nang nabasa. I tried to cover my face by blocking the rain from the ground using my hands and arms. Pinilit kong ibuka ang aking mga mata kahit basang-basa ang aking mukha para makita ang pigura niyang unti-unti nang natatabunan ng ulan.

"Choose," he demanded.

That's when I realized, no matter how nice he was earlier, he is still a god.

"Stay," I said, "I choose to stay in the world of Beloved Jade."

"Alright," he lowered his head, the gentle smile remained on his face, "Call my name when you need me. We'll see each other again later."

Mas lalong bumigat ang pagpatak ng ulan hanggang sa tuluyan na siyang natabunan at hindi ko na siya makita pa. Ipinikit ko ang mga mata't tinakpan ang ilong dahil nahihirapan na akong huminga dahil sa sunod-sunod na pagpatak ng tubig.

Pagmulat ko muli ng aking mga mata ay kaagad akong nagpakawala ng isang mabigat na hininga, ang dibdib ko'y kumakabog, hinahabol ang paghinga...

Nagulat ako nang makita ang sarili sa kuwarto ni Catherine sa mansyon. Wala na siya, wala na ako sa lugar niya at wala nang ulan.

Napalunok ako nang unti-unti nang umayos ang pakiramdam ko. Pinakiramdaman ko ang sarili. Lumingon ako sa full body-sized mirror at nakitang tuyo ang buong katawan ko. Tila naging imahinasyon ko lang ang lahat nang nangyari kanina.

When I diverted my eyes to the bed, roon ko nakitang maayos na nakalagay ang mga librong pinamili ko kanina na bago ko lang naalala...

Nanlalamig ang katawang nanghina ang mga tuhod ko bago ko hinayaan na lang ang sariling mahulog at mapaupo sa sahig.

As I stared blankly on the floor, that's when it just sink it to me...

Did I just really meet... a god?
