Where did the fight between Luca & Catherine began...?

At first it was academic-related only which I vaguely remember. I've tried digging Cath's memories to the corner of her mind for more information, but I wasn't able to find anything.

All that could come to me was...

In the very first day of her 7th grade, the two children of influential families met each other in the school orientation for the first time.

Magkatabi silang nakaupo n'on. Ang naalala ko'y 'di pa nga sila nagpapansinan.

What I do remember during the orientation was Catherine staring intently at the President of the Golden Oak Junior High School Student Body Government making his speech for the freshmen on stage. She was staring because she was eyeing for his position. Someday, she wanted to be the one giving the speech.

Then when she got home, she told her mother about her plans in joining the SBG. Olivia's response came unexpected. For some reason, she didn't want her to join the SBG. She didn't give her any excuses, nor even tried making up one just to appease her. She simply said no.

She ended up joining the Taekwondo School Club to satisfy her desires of wanting to be the leader of something. Thankfully, her mother agreed on this one. So she did all she could to be the President of the club. She ended up being the one on 8th grade, outperforming her seniors and members to the point that all they could think of was that she's the only and best option to be the President.

Her peformance was proof of itself that she was doing a great job. Could her mother not see her potential?

O may kulang pa rin talaga sa kaniya?

If she is lacking something, what could it be?

Inside the bathroom, I washed my hands thoroughly.

So nagsimula ang alitan sa pagitan nila Cath at Luca dahil sa pag-aagawan nila ng pinakamataas na rankings sa buong eskwelahan... o doon ba talaga? I feel like I'm missing something... pero yun lang talaga ang naaalala ko.

I turned the faucet off before looking up at myself in the mirror.

When I lowered my eyes to my right hand once again, my knuckles were swelling a flushed plum color.

I punched Luca earlier... again. I couldn't help it. I was disgusted with the way his lips touched the palm of my hand.

Man, I hate him so much.

Hindi ko rin malaman ang mararamdaman kanina nang matapos ko siya suntukin ay halos tatlong segundo lang biglang tumahimik yung buong cafeteria bago sila ulit nagpatuloy na parang wala lang nangyari. Maski yung mga faculty na naroroon na kumakain ng lunch ay hinayaan lang kami.

"Your punch really hurts, y'know," Luca groaned while caressing the side of his lips, "You should stop doing that to me."

"Then stop being an asshole," I spat back.

Nang tuluyan na akong nawalan ng gana kumain ay umalis na lang ako at dumiretso rito sa C.R.. Josie was about to follow me but I stopped her and said I wanted to be alone.

Pagdating ko pa kanina rito sa C.R. ay biglang nagsilabasan yung mga babaeng naririto matapos akong makilala. Parang imbes na matuwa na naiwan akong mag-isa sa loob ay mas lalo lang nadagdagan ang inis at hiya ko.
