My alarm woke me up at twelve noon. I groaned and mumbled in protest, feeling reluctant to wake up yet. I was still very tired from yesterday's hectic night.
Finally unable to bear the shrill voice of the alarm I reached across to the small table beside my bed to turn it off.
Sweet melodious silence, I thought to myself as I drifted off again.
The next time I woke up it was two, and it was my stomach that woke me up.
The grumbling sound felt like an earthquake, demanding to be filled. I hadn't eaten since morning. When I walked into my apartment, alone this morning I went straight to bed, clothes and all. I was so tired that I was almost asleep on my feet.
Second reason why I didn't invite Billy in.
First is my little secret. *Winks*
I pulled myself to a sitting position, ran my fingers through my messed up red hair as my eyes took in the mess around me.
Clothes littered everywhere, my vanity table a mess, the floor looking unkempt. I have been too lazy to clean up for days which is going to be remedied as soon as I put something into my stomach.
My stomach let out another angry growl as if in agreement to my words.
I moved my legs forward to the edge of the bed to get down when last night memories flashed briefly into my mind. With it came the kiss I shared with Billy.
It was one hell of a kiss and Billy wanted more, but I wasn't going to make it that easy for him.
To reel in a man like Billy who is used to getting any woman he wants you need to make him work for it. Challenge him, make him chase you, make him feel like he is the hunter and you are the prey when it is him who is being hunted.
Now you know my first reason.
I don't want to make it easy for him.
The game has begun and I am playing to win, and fun part, Billy isn't even aware that he is in a game of cat and mouse.
I smirked darkly to myself before walking into the bathroom. I couldn't help the thrill of excitement that shot through my spine at the thought of what the future holds.
Excitedly pregnant, ready to give birth to anything.
I looked at myself in the mirror startled a bit by my looks. Still getting used it even though is been five years.
The contact lens was the only thing I managed to take off early this morning before falling into bed like a dead corpse.
My green eyes stared back at me as I cleaned my teeth. I tried to analyse the emotions in my eyes. They say the eyes are the windows to our soul. I was curious to know what mine were saying.
Couldn't read a thing.
Being a little playful I leaned in closer to the mirror with my mouth filled with toothpaste foam and my toothbrush stuck in my mouth with my right hand holding it at the tail.
Still I couldn't see anything in my eyes. It looked vacant, and cold like everything inside me is dead.
Is that really how I feel inside?
