It is a game of Monopoly and the kids are having fun with that while I make dinner. I could hear them bickering all the way down here, and by them I mean Dave and his brother, arguing about who is pay who or what not.

Yeah, I know you all have been wondering what is been getting on since Kate got shipped out to the mental institution, and I will be glad to fill you in, just as soon as I am done with this dinner.

It is a special one, considering it is Josh's birthday. His father didn't want anything elaborate considering everything that had happened these past few weeks. So I took the kids to a gaming con convention held in our city.

Josh was out of his mind when his father granted the permission for him to go, seeing that he will be missing school to attend the event, but Billy thought the kids deserve to have some fun.

Game is neither of the other kids thing but they too had fun, especially playing some of the games with the other kids present. Sophie even managed a laugh or two here and there.

The convention ran pretty late that when we came back the kids were pretty tired, that they went straight to their rooms as soon as we got home. First time of them ever having a nap during the day.

It hasn't been long since they got up and decided to chill with some game of Monopoly. Josh idea. Surprised that he wasn't locked inside his room playing game, probably had his feel at the convention.

I am making pot roast which is Josh favourite. He doesn't know it yet. My surprise and a gift for him for his birthday.

I heard Billy's voice in the living room as the kids said hello, and then his heavy footsteps as he drew closer towards the kitchen.

Oh yes, about how the weeks following Kate's absence in the house has been going?

Great! It was as if she wasn't even here. I did my best to make sure the kids didn't feel her absence which wasn't so hard to do, she never had much of a presence in their lives anyways.

Her presence isn't totally wiped off the house, I mean that will be cruel, and I am not cruel. Oh, not at all. Just told Billy that it will be hard for the kids to get on with their lives if her photos were hanging around the living room. Probably wise to move it into one of the unused rooms in the house. The basement.

Billy of course agreed with me.

Obviously, it is a great idea, and the man is fucking me, so anything I say seems pretty marvellous, so long as I retain his attention. Something I plan to to keep for a long time until, I no longer need him.

I wasn't totally inhumane, I did keep Bryan's pictures. The kid was a very sweet boy, who had the misfortune of being born to his parents.

The kids didn't mind my presence, and are gradually getting used to me. They haven't fully accepted me as part of the family, as they still see me as the nanny, which of course I am, but I am planning on becoming more, on becoming indispensable to them. To make them see me as family even though I am not.

"Hi," Billy leaned against the doorpost a tired smile on his face. He looks like he has aged ten years faster, but that hasn't in anyway reduced his sex appeal, not that I am looking at him that way.

Our relationship is on the pin for now. At least while we are in the same building with the kids. The last thing I want is one of them walking in on us and destroying the trust I am trying to build with them. The night of the burial was a one time mistake that I made sure Billy understands will never happen again.

Didn't drink it comfortably, but it still went down right with him.

"How was work?" I took my attention briefly from what was steaming on the gas to give him few seconds of my time.
