Louisse

Kinakabahan na ako.

Nakasakay na ako sa taxi papunta sa DL Industries.  Maaga akong umalis sa bahay namin.  Six thirty pa lang ay sumakay na ako ng taxi.

Naka slacks at blazer ako with inner blouse.  Naka 1 1/2 inch din ako na close shoes.

Taxi driver :  Ma'am ito na po yon!

Napatingin ako sa labas.   Napakatayog ng gusali.   Nagbayad na ako at bumaba na.

Kung bakit naka leave pa si Marge ngayon.  Nilalagnat daw!

Pumasok na ako sa building.

Guard :  Good morning po, ma'am.  Ano po atin?

Louisse :  Applicant po ako.

Guard :  Okey po.  Lapit po kayo sa receptionist.

Louisse :  Thank you.

Naglakad na ako papunta sa sinabi ng guard.

Binigyan na nya ako ng temporary ID.  Nasa 18th floor daw ang HR nila.  Sumakay na ako sa elevator.  Sobra na talaga ang kaba ko.

Pagdating ko sa HR ay hiningan ako ng mga papers.   Live birth, certificate of employment, etc.  They interviewed me.  

HR :  Miss  Maraguinot,  you have a very impressive credentials.  So, I will forego na the exams.   Since, wala si sir Bean,  si sir Rex na mag interview sa yo.

Louisse : Thank you po, ma'am.

HR :  This way please.

Sumunod lang ako sa kanya.

Kumatok na sya sa may pinto.

Rex :  Come in!

HR :  Sir Rex, wala si sir Bean di ba?  Kaya ikaw na mag interview kay Ms.  Maraguinot.  Upo na po kayo, ma'am.  

Tiningnan muna ni Rex ang credentials ni Louisse.  Napataas ang kilay nya.

Rex :  O?  You worked in Switzerland?

Louisse :  Yes.

Rex :  Interior designer, huh?  Why did you resigned?

Louisse :  I just want to save faster and fulfill my short term dreams.  It happened na.  So, I am here.  I love to work her in the Philippines, to be with my family. 

Rex :  Why us?  Why DL Industries?

Louisse :  DL Industries is top 2 in the industry.  I know that I can learned so much here.  And I am willing to share my knowledge and experience in Switzerland.  I believe that I can grow here.

Tinitigan ako ni sir Rex.  

Rex :  You are the valedictorian!  So impressive.  Actually, this is a first.  We never hire on the spot.  Well, it seems that you are an exception.  Your hired, ms. Maraguinot.  We need someone like you here.

Tumayo na si sir Rex and he offered his hand.  Di ako makapaniwala sa nangyari.

Louisse :  T-thank you, sir.

Rex :  When can you start?

Louisse :  A.   The day after tomorrrow.

Rex :  See you on Wednesday.  You may go back to HR to fill up some forms.

Louisse :  Thank you, sir.

I was in high spirit when I reached home.
