"Hina-chan!!"
A frantic, desperate scream pierced through the cold January night. From a distance, a man in suit was running and calling for his beloved's name. A look of worry filled his blue eyes as he paced forward the dimly-lit winding paths. Leading his bespectacled companion behind him, the 27-year-old kept calling for her name while praying in his heart for her safety.
"Takemichi-kun!"
The faint scream was the answer to his prayer. Around the bended pathway, he finally found her seated on the ground with soiled clothes and scratched face, yet her eyes was filled with relief upon seeing her beloved's figure.
"Hina?! Hina!!" Hanagaki Takemichi rushed to her side and hugged her dearly. Tears were running down his eyes as waves of emotion filled his chest. "I thought I had lost you..."
Tachibana Hinata carved a relieved smile on her face and returned her lover's warm embrace. "I'm here, Takemichi-kun."
She savored the moment, drawing long breaths that were visible in the cold night. She let his warmth enveloped her tiny figure, ensuring herself that she had reached her home, far from any pursuers that hunted her earlier with malignant intent.
"You got cuts and bruises. Are you okay?" Kisaki Tetta's voice - the bespectacled companion - broke the moment.
"Yes, I'm fine. It's just scratches. Emma-chan is fine too." Hinata glanced at her friend's direction further, where the blonde-haired Omega was tended by her Alpha boyfriend. "(y/n)-san helps us escape."
Not far, next to a scratched car, you - the aforementioned woman - leaned against the car door. Your left hand was clenching your right abdomen as you stood still in silence, trying to regulate your breathing. Slowly yet wobbly, you stepped out of your position, only to be intercepted by Kisaki.
"Taichou. Thank you for coming. How is Hina--"
Your words came to a sudden stop when Kisaki slammed your body onto the car. Your groan of pain collided with the loud thump on the car echoed through the night.
"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO?! You said that you will protect Hinata! Is this HOW YOU DO YOUR JOB?!"
Rage was written all over the Sixth Division Captain's expression. He grabbed your suit lapel tightly, determined to throw you again if you dared to give less-than-satisfactory answer.
You stayed quiet amidst his anger. Your expression changed. Your breathing began to labor. You started to perspire. No, it was not because of guilt. You were in real pain.
Shakingly, you grabbed Kisaki's arm on your lapel, pleading him to release his grip.
"A-as much as I like to argue..." you stopped to take a breath. "... l-looks like I need to get some stitches first."
With strength evaporated from your body, you collapsed onto him. All his rage and hostility vanished, changed to a more perplexed expression.
"The hell? Hisho?!" He called you by your title as usual.
"(y/n)-san!" Hinata approached from afar, rushed over to your side with Takemichi.
As Kisaki laid you down on the rocky ground, you winced and tightened your grip on your right abdomen, looking like in more pain than before. Kisaki lifted your hand and, to his surprise, discovered an open wound.
"(y/n)-san, what happened?!" Takemichi's eyes widened as look of horror filled his face.
"Oh no! (y/n)-san, at that time..." Hina gasped, drawing an even more terrified expression as she finally understood of the whole situation.
"Yeah..." you answered between your short breaths. "They got me..."
The newfound injury on your lower right abdomen oozed fresh blood, painting your hand in crimson hue. It was a stab wound, formed by a member of Yotsuya Kaidan during an earlier fight. Being true to your duty to protect Hinata and Emma, you managed to defeat them and escaped altogether with the girls, but in no way you were scratch-less.
"We need to get her to a hospital. Fast!" Takemichi scrambled around, looking for a way to provide help. "(y/n)-san, can you ride a motorbike with me?"
"Are you out of your mind?!" shouted Kisaki. "She will fall on the way!"
"Then HOW do you suppose we help her?!" Takemichi snapped back in frustration.
Hinata sat in silence amidst the bickering, trying to apply pressure to the wound with her handkerchief while holding her cry. "(y/n)-san, please hang on. We'll get help for you."
"I-I'll be fine... Dont worry," you lightly smile albeit the pain and short breaths, did not want to add more distress to your pink-haired friend.
"Oi Hisho, does this car still works?" Kisaki suddenly asked.
"Yes... it works fine... the key is on the ignition..." Your chest heaved up and down as you threaded your answer.
Kisaki approached the black mid-size sedan. The exterior was structurally sound despite dents and scratches on its surface. Cautiously positioned himself in the driver's seat, the blond man inspected the dashboard interior before turning the key in the starter, bringing the engine to life.
"Bring her to the hospital with this car!" Kisaki commanded as he exited the vehicle.
You carved a smile of relief, knowing that a lifeline had been extended to you. Holding on to Hinata's shoulder, you tried to lift your injured body, but to no avail. Pain had seeped through your being that even the slightest of movement required a number of strength.
"Let me help you, (y/n)-san," Takemichi knelt on your side and put your right arm around his body. He tried to lift you up, but your legs were too weak, overwhelmed by the pain.
"Argh!" your aching groan broke through the night as you fell kneeling on the ground, almost bringing the Fourth Division Captain falling altogether with you.
Looking annoyed at his companion's seemingly-sluggish action, Kisaki hurriedly approached you and without any hesitation, bridal-carried you on his arm. It was not, and never a gesture of romance. Simply a logical response for the urgency of matter at hand. You gritted your teeth in pain as he hastily brought you to the passenger's seat.
"Takemitchy, you drive!" Kisaki instructed his Beta friend. "We dont have much time. I need to stay behind and wait for Mikey."
"Eh? B-but I don't drive. I don't even have a driving license."
"Huuhh?!" Kisaki glared at Takemitchi in disbelief. He had to wait for Mikey's arrival, but time was of the essence in this situation. You needed medical attention soon as there was no telling on how long you would held onto consciousness with such injury.
"I just have to do everything around here, huh?!" Kisaki grunted as he slid into the driver's seat in dissatisfaction.
Leaving short instruction to his fellow captain, the 26-year-old raced away through the winding road, bringing you closer to the help you desperately needed.
