Aside from discussion of the incidents, today's meeting was another series of everyday interactions between the gang members. Rough banters between the 1st and 6th division, snarky remarks from the 5th division, calm reasoning from the 2nd division - nothing out of the ordinary. You sat silently at your corner table, observing the participants and jotting down important notes while maintaining your monotonous attitude and expression.
It had been two years since you started working in this organization. Tokyo Manji Kai. Toman, for short. Founded in 2003 by eight teenagers led by Sano Manjiro, more commonly known as The Invincible Mikey. At first, young Mikey aimed to create a new era for delinquents - a dream inspired by his elder brother Sano Shinichiro. But over the course of time and with the immense growth of the gang, the ambitious male Alpha saw a chance for Toman to rise to a greater height: becoming Japan's largest crime syndicate. With his trustworthy vice-president and six reliable captains, Toman soon became part of the underground society and currently on track to be Japan's most notorious criminal organization.
As the meeting drew to a close, leaders of each division began to walk out of the executive meeting room, leaving you alone with two of your Alpha bosses. You knew what the discussion was about, yet you opted not to partake them. Reading the heavy atmosphere, you removed yourself from your seat to give them a moment of privacy.
"(y/n), stay. I need you here." Mikey's command instantly brought your footstep to a halt. Keeping your indifferent expression, you turned to face the two Alphas - with one clearly unwelcomed your company in the room.
"What's the status of our supply?" Mikey stayed seated on his chair.
"No problem as of today," Kisaki reported. "But I think our current supplier is not doing enough. They sometimes struggle to keep up with the production, while demand at our end keeps pouring."
"Any solution?"
"Finding a second, bigger supplier. Although it won't be as easy as it sounds since I need to run my front company and my division's main business as well."
"Hmm..." Mikey left his words hung in the air as he drowned himself in his thought, bringing the atmosphere into a still. Both you and Kisaki stood wordlessly, patiently awaiting the response of the raven-haired man.
"Then, I'll assign (y/n) to you," the Alpha president concluded, much to both of your surprise.
"What? Why?! I don't need her," the bespectacled Alpha openly rejected the idea, paying no heed to your current presence.
"You're overwhelmed, Kisaki. You have your front company, the 6th division's money-laundering operation, and this new business to run. You already have Koko and Hanma assisting you for the two existing entities. Let her assist you for the third."
"I don't need any assistance for the third business. I'll be fine on my own," he stubbornly refused to enlist your help.
"Oi." Mikey's intense one-word immediately shattered Kisaki's arrogance. "Do I look like I'm giving you a fucking suggestion?"
Kisaki gritted his teeth, completely understood that obedience was the only option he could take.
"(y/n), as of today, I assign you to the Sixth Division under Kisaki. Your priority is to help him with his new business. I'll let other divisions know that your workload from them is to be reduced."
