I must've fallen asleep as my eyes were closed with lights shining through. I didn't want to leave the darkness that overwhelmed me but I knew that I had to because of Ae-ri. I didn't want her to be in danger. I slowly opened up my eyes, looking around the unfamiliar room. I never noticed it before but it was messy and it smelt like instant raymeon, which I don't blame Hyun-su for. He probably didn't know how to cook anything else.
I looked to my side, seeing that Hyun-su was starting to wake up, making me sigh in relief. At least he was okay. I let my eye roam, noticing that Ae-ri had fallen asleep as well as she was spread out on the floor with a leg in the air. I shook my head with a smile before looking back at Hyun-su who quickly sat up, making eye contact with me. I yawned, stretching my arms, "You finally got up." I said softly, "Are you okay? You collapsed out of nowhere."
"Are you okay? Your daughter? What happened to the woman outside?" He asked, his eyes showing how worried he was for us. It was really cute, seeing someone worry for us. Have not had that in years.
"We don't know. She hasn't come back. A guy helped carry you in. Both Ae-ri and I are okay, don't worry. We're more worried about you." I said, reaching out to pat his head but he flinched away. I lowered my hand, wondering what had happened to him that made him like this. He seemed like such a sweetheart. How dare someone hurt him?
I went to open my mouth but I heard loud noises outside. I frowned, moving to stand on my feet. I walked over to the window, hearing Hyun-su do the same. I looked at him before helping him to open up the curtains. I looked along the city, seeing the smoke. A lot of buildings were going up on fire and there were so many birds flying around. I didn't understand what was happening.
Is this an attack on us? Was there some virus going around? Where is the military? I had so many questions but I couldn't open my mouth to ask them as I knew that Hyun-su and I didn't understand what was happening. "This is the end... is it?" I asked before turning to Hyun-su.
I was shocked, seeing that his nose was starting to bleed heavily. "Holy shit. Holy shit." I panicked before looking around and finding a towel. I rushed over, grabbing it, knocking a bowl off the counter as I did, breaking it. I ignored it for now and ran back to him. I placed it under his nose, tilting his head forward. "Let it come out. Never tilt your head back." I said softly, trying not to panic but I was shaking.
However, he collapsed yet again. I reached out to grab him but we both fell onto the ground hard. I let out a ground before pulling my arm from underneath. I looked down at him, wondering what was happening to him. I pat his hair gently, worried for him. "Hyun-su... Wake up... please..." I said softly, shaking him gently. Was this the mysterious virus that is infecting people, causing everyone to go crazy?
I jumped backwards when I heard a banging on the door. Please don't tell me that woman was back. I looked between both Hyun-su and Ae-ri before slowly and shakingly getting up. I walked towards the door, looking at the door monitor, "Who is it?" I called out.
