I looked around the apartment, taking in all of the stuff he had. It was a cool collection. I'm sure he would be one of the most useful people. He looked like he could build or make anything. I wish I had a skill like that to protect my daughter in case those monsters came after us. I must've taken a while to look around as I could hear Mr Han calling out to me.

I looked at him, my cheeks red as I was embarrassed for not paying attention, "Sorry, sir. I was admiring your stuff." I said softly, holding onto Ae-ri so she wouldn't run around.

He smiled at me, "No worries." He glanced at Hyun-su, making me grab his arm as I noticed he was trembling. I was the same though. I was filled with so much fear. "My name is Han Du-sik." He said, making me bow to him. "You?" He asked, looking between the three of us.

Hyun-su paused for a moment, not knowing what to say, "Cha Hyun-su." He said quietly. He was just so cute. It was honestly a breath of fresh air.

"You're a little shy, aren't you?"

I looked at Mr Han, placing my free hand on my chest, "I'm Bae Ye-na," I said softly before gesturing towards my daughter, "and this is Bae Ae-ri." I added.

"How can we..." Hyun-su started, making me look over at him. "How can I save the kids?"

"Well..." He started, "It's all on you." He then decided it was a good time to come away from his desk, revealing that he was in a wheelchair. Damn, dude had it rough. He tapped his legs, looking at us, "Should I?" Hyun-su stayed quiet beside me as he looked away from Mr Han. "I used to be a legend in Cheonggyecheon. You heard? They can make any type of tank as long as you have the blueprint." He said with a smile but the atmosphere was so thick between them.

I shook my head at them, "This is the most awkward situation ever." I said softly, looking between the two guys. I looked at Mr Han, "You sound so awesome, sir." I said brightly, trying to brighten up the room.

"Awesome!" Ae-ri chimed in, sticking up her thumb at me, making me cover my mouth to try and stop my giggles at the little girl. She was lucky she was so cute.

He smiled at Ae-ri before looking at Hyun-su, "What all that means is I can transform your stick into something more useful." He said before looking at me, "And I can give you a weapon." He gestured to Hyun-su, "Hand me that thing."

"What?" Hyun-Su asked, confused.

"Bring that over here. Your spear!"

I sighed before pushing Hyun-su forward so he could hand over the weapon to him. "Oh, this." He said before willingly handing it over to him but he tried to give the sharp part, making Mr Han shrink back. Hyun-su realized what he had done and turned it around for him to grab.

I looked down at my daughter and bent down to her, "I'll let you go but don't touch anything in the apartment and stay away from Mr Han while he's working, okay?" I asked her, watching her nod. I decided to trust her, letting go of her hand and walked into the apartment more.
