Hyun held onto my hand as he swirled me around so we could get back to walking to the stadium, "You're gonna get yourself killed by him." He said, "I would rather you stay alive to help me with saving humanity and raising the kids." He smiled at me and bent down to steal a kiss from my lips.
I rolled my eyes playfully at him and walked with him, "I doubt he'll actually kill me. He didn't even fight me properly. He knew I'd duck." I said softly as we walked towards, watching the oldest out of the two siblings in front of us. I could sense his frustration so I'm glad that he was forming emotions. Guess Eun-yu and I needed to work harder to bring back the memories. Who knew we had to annoy him enough to get something out of him?
I walked around the corner, when I noticed a strange change in someone's emotions. I looked between them before turning to look at Eun-yu behind us. I noticed the look on her face and slowed down so I could talk to her. I took her hand with a smile as we walked up over the destroyed street when she stopped suddenly, "Eun-yu?" I asked softly, seeing the faraway look. I recognized the look all too well.
She was turning.
I grabbed her other hand, making eye contact with her when she started to focus again, "Eun-yu, are you okay?" I asked softly, "It's happening, isn't it?"
I heard Hyun coming back to join us but then Eun-yu stumbled suddenly, "Eun-hyuk!" She called out. I turned to see that he was practically trying to run away from us. He turned to look at us, blinking blankly at us. "Thank you." She said softly. "Thank you for showing up." He turned away and started to walk off.
I sighed softly, rolling my eyes. I turned back to Eun-yu, wrapping my arms around her. "Fuck him. He's really pissing me off. I'll be Eun-hyuk until he's normal again." I said softly to her, feeling her hug me back. I could tell that she was trying not to cry. I pat her on the back gently. "You're going to be okay."
"I love you, Yena." She said, her voice trembling as she tightened her grip on me. "Please take care of him, Hyun-su and the kids. I'll catch up after, yeah?" She said, pulling away to look at me. I bit my lip, blinking rapidly to try and stop the tears as she was practically saying goodbye to us and I didn't want to lose my best friend. "Hyun-su." She said, turning to him, who turned to look at us. "Just follow the road. You'll know when you get close." She looked at me, "You know one way in so if you need to use it, do so." I nodded, biting down hard on my bottom lip.
"If you can't walk," Hyun started, "I'll carry you."
She shook her head, not wanting to tell him what was happening to her. I could tell by the look on her face. She reminded me of when Hyun was turning. "I'll just take a short break here and catch up." She took a deep breath, looking between us and gave us her bravest smile. "Hurry. It'll bother me more if I hold you back. Ms Cha and Yeong-su will be there too." Hyun looked blankly at her, "You know, people are going to be so happy to see you." She smiled at him.
"Get to the point," He said blankly, making me hit his chest with the back of my hand. "What is it?"
She took a deep breath, her eyes flicking between us, "Listen." She said softly. "If I change like Eun-hyuk, then... then please... help me relearn everything," She looked between us, "Use your weird ass powers on me and bring back my emotions. I give you full permission. And be patient with me even if I'm rude to you."
