Samir walked cautiously into Kianna's somber apartment, the flowers and gifts still in his hand as he turned and waited for her to lock the door, before following her into the living room.

He placed everything down on the nearest table, his hands now free and the sweaty—ness of it causing him to rub down on his sweats with nerves.

He knew he had to start the conversation, just not how, and that was making him uneasy.

He'd never seen his baby disappointed in him, and being able to experience it, was breaking his heart—he knew he fucked up. And he was going to make sure he fixed it.

The shifting of Kianna's leg took him out of his trance, allowing him to  just now realize the space that was put between the two and he sighed as he turned to look at her.

"Pretty."

Kianna's eyes were trained on the table, her ears quirked at his words but she never truly looked at him.

Scooting a bit closer Samir grabbed her by her chin, and lifted up her pretty face allowing them to  meet eye to eye, while he spoke his apology

"Baby," he started, "I'm sorry." The words were very genuine and they both knew it— but they both also knew that 'I'm sorry' wasn't going to cut it.

Taking his hands off her face, Samir licked over his full lips, "You always been better than me wit opening up and maturing in this relationship, and I acknowledge and see that and imma' start pulling my weight a lil more so it's not only you that's growing." He expressed looking at her deeply.

"I know that I have you now but that doesn't automatically make it effortless, I do try, but it's just not easy expressing myself. I've gotten myself through all my tough times so you'll just have to give me a little time to allow myself to share those wit you." At this point he pulled Kianna's soft brown legs into his lap, and begun kneading the flesh gently — knowing that he was needing some form of touch from her to continue speaking.

"I was very frustrated in the moment and wasn't ready to talk to anyone yet, but instead of being a man and telling you that I blew up in your face, and I am genuinely so sorry for that reaction, and I promise you I will never speak or act in that kind of manner again. I love you, I want to do right by you, I want to be with you, and I will." He told her sternly. He was going to get better at communicating, Samir loved her to much to allow something that he could fix break them up.

Looking down at her feet, lifting up the leg closest to him he sent a soft kiss to her foot, the gold anklet with his name that he had gotten her only a few days prior still gleaming, and dangling.

"Can you forgive me?"

It was silent for a moment, causing Samirs hand to freeze slightly in worry he didn't dare make a sound when Kianna pulled her leg away from him, simply understanding and putting his hands in his lap as though he was a kid waiting to be scolded.

However, instead of the reaction he had anticipated he was welcomed by Kianna's warmth as she crawled into his lap, resting her head against his heartbeat and straddling him, rubbing her hands up and down his toned arms.

Her curls bounced when she looked up at him, puckering her lips, which Samir understood immediately bending down to peck her lips twice.

"I forgive you, baby."
