Some Things Just Happen (Liam Payne)

Chapter Four

*Liam's POV*

"Our Liam has a new love interest!" Harry screamed as we walked into our flat.

"Aw! He's growing up!" Louis screamed, wrapping me in a bone crushing hug. He received a chorus of laughter from Niall and Zayn was fast asleep on the couch, well was. He scolded Niall as he groggily woke up. "What's her name? What does she look like? Is she available? Tell us!" Lou continued like a teenage girl.

"There is nothing going on, she's just a friend. A stranger really." I said putting my phone and keys on the coffee table.

"This girl is fit, boo! F-I-T, fit! She could be a model! Long curly brown hair, big hazel eyes. I got excited just looking at her!" Harry said sitting down on the couch next to Louis. I gave him a warning look. Lou laughed.

"So how did you meet? Does she have a job?" Louis said cheerily.

"Does she like puppies?" Harry added.

"Who doesn't?" Niall added in.

"Aw, I bet she loves puppies! Li Li! Get her a puppy!" Louis said cheekily, pouting at me.

"We got into an accident on the highway. I offered to pay for everything. We just met, I'm not going to buy her a dog."

"She didn't recognize you?" Zayn said sitting up.

"Not until Harold decided to belt out the lyrics to WYMB." I replied to Zayn. "Brilliant job by the way, very on pitch." I said in Harry's direction, giving him a thumbs up. He nodded at me with a smirk.

"Anytime, mate." He said still smirking.

"How she respond? She a screamer?" Louis said laughing at his obvious reference.

"No, she just kinda accepted it." I said shrugging.

"Did you get her number?" Niall asked curiously.

"Yea." I said smiling at the floor at the thought of her smiling contact picture.

"Oh, I can hear the wedding bells already!" Louis said excitedly as he started singing hairspray lyrics under his breath.

"Do you guys want anything to eat?" They all nodded and I stood up to look for food. I found some pasta and spaghetti sauce and began cooking. Before I was finished, I heard snickering from the living room. If they are doing what I think they're doing... I walked into the living room to find them giggling over my phone. "What are you lads up to?" I said reaching for my phone. Harry locked it and handed it to me. I walked back to the kitchen where the pasta was almost ready.

I unlocked it and saw that my messages were pulled up and the boys had texted Gracie, asking her to have lunch with me tomorrow.

*Gracie's POV*

Cloud nine was exactly where my head was. I hadn't told anyone mainly because everyone I knew were Directioners and the ones that weren't would probably ruin it for me. He was the sweetest guy and to think that I thought the great Liam Payne would be a complete jerk. I was completely wrong! He was so down to earth!

As I was getting into my PJ's and getting ready for bed, my phone buzzed on my dresser. I walked over to it as I tossed my hair into a topknot. My phone didn't recognize the number. I typed in my password and opened the message.

'Ello its Liam!! :) I was wondering if you wanted to meet for lunch tomorrow?? :)'

Butterflies swarmed in my stomach causing me to fangirl a little bit. I sat on my bed, staring at the message, thinking of a reply. 'OMG sure!' sounds to desperate and fan girlish but 'yea whatever' sounded like I wasn't excited. Well I did have the day off tomorrow due to my little lie about the EMT's, so I don't see why not.

But I was planning on going for a jog tomorrow morning. I finally settled on a reply.

'Sure!! Sounds great! I was going to go for a jog tomorrow if you want to join me??? :)'

I stared at the typed words for a minute or two before I finally settled on a reply. I snuggled into bed and let my mind run amuck. What if he didn't reply, or was kidding, or not that into me? I found myself checking my phone every couple of seconds just to make sure.

All of my questions were settled when my phone buzzed. I snatched it up quickly, my stomach filling with butterflies.

'Brilliant I'll see you at your house, round 10?' I felt my mouth spread into a smile.

'C you then, gotta warn ya high school track star. ;)'

'Is that a challenge Hataway? :)'

'Maybe ;P'

'You're on! Night love!! :)'
