NATALIA GASPED WHEN Clay's lips met her collar bone. He peppered soft kisses that made her guts churn. Her hands wandered the lower half of his body as his kissing intensified with a passion only the two could recognize.

One hand gripped the back of his neck, and he grunted as his hips grind into hers.

"You'll get us caught," Natalia cursed as his hands worked their way under her shirt.

"Only if you keep making noises," Clay replied, his hand gently gripping her neck. "Damn it, why do you do this at school?"

"Natalia, hurry up you'll be late!" Her mother yelled, startling Natalia out of her slumber.

Natalia looked around, her stomach clenched from the lack of heat she once had from her dream. Hair stuck to her sweaty forehead as she looked around.

"Clay?" Natalia gasped.

"Oh, Jesus, what do you dream about?" Her mother quizzed, intrigued and disgusted.

The woman left the room and left Natalia to flip back onto her bed, exhausted. The sleep she got was restless. It was full of things she wished she didn't dream of, but they reoccurred. Almost every night. She felt like a perv.

Natalia groaned, tossing her head back. She had to muster up any motivation she could find in herself.

Real life was a drought of any human connection. Her whole life revolved around the little things, but they were cut off. Her friends were distant, and everyone acted like everything was no big deal.

Her phone rung causing her to pick it up, annoyed.

"What, Justin?" Natalia quizzed, taking off her shirt and putting on a bra. "I thought—"

"Clay's just got arrested," Justin cut her off and Natalia froze. She let out a sigh as she crashed down on her bed.

"Shit, is he okay?" asked Natalia, her whole mood changing. Her heart sank to the deep depths of her stomach, beating quickly. This is not what she expected. Like, he could ever do it.

ANXIETY SHOOK NATALIA'S mental space. All she could think about was Clay and the finger prints on the gun. She stood with Justin and Jessica for the majority of the night, her stomach all in knots as she was questioned by the police.

"Nobody knew what the fuck they were talking about. It was some sick joke, someone's words twisted for the sake of fucking with everyone," Natalia stated, her jaw clenching as she delivered her words to them.

In all seriousness, Natalia didn't know whether or not she believed her words. They felt like lies, but she had to mean them. She had to make them feel real. Her horrible lying could get them all in ridiculous amounts of trouble, and that kind of trouble, was none they could afford.
