"you know ive been to rosemount ? yes man ive been up there plenty of times. mi husband did have land up there back in the nintys. he sold it so some people named chaimbers, dont know how it look now. it was a beautiful piece of land back in those days" mrs emerson said to me. i sat beside her bed holding the plate of food that was now emty and the bottle of juice that had a little bit left. I smiled and became excited because as soon as she said the chambers i knew exactly where she was talking about. those were my reletives, on my mother's side. Jamaica was a very little place in deed. i parted my lips to gush about the fact that she knew exactly where im from.

"My home is not too far from thet piece of land. dem a mi family. mrs chambers is my grand aunt!" i told her grinning. she seemed surprised as she smiled delightedly. i bet shed be even more surprise to find out she was still alive and doing very well? the man mr chambers died though. he passed away from heart failure last year and his dead yaad was a huge dead yaad including his fineral people from all throughout montego bay showed up and spoke about all the nice things he did for them.

"wow shed still alive? that is amazing. you know i remember when my husband came home that day and told me about it. the man, mr chambers didnt have enough funds and my husband him is a buisness man. if him seh him wah that much money him wah that much money so he was saying no he will hold onto the land until he gets all his money then hed give them the land. but him come home and spoke about it to me and me tell him fi give them, me tell him they seemed like good people" she told me. she stared at my face as if shed just seen an angel, as if she couldnt believe she was speaking to the grand niece of that woman. i smiled. this was such a huge coincidence.

both me and mrs emmerson flinched when we heard a ear peicing scream downstairs outside that caused me to sit up immediatly running over to the window looking outside. she chuckled laying her head back onto the pillow as if this was the usual.

"a mi likkle bad grand pickeny dem a run up and down. dem nuh stop suh till dem bruck part of them it willl cool dem down" she muttered laughing. i chcukled seeing the little boy who i found out name was "daniel" running around. he was the son of richard the guy i meet down the street yesterday. you could tell everyone was related in the family up here. everybody looked indian and had the same features. some of the kids lighter some of them darker but they had the same features.

"dem gwaan suh all the time-

"all the time!!! dem nuh have no little behavior and when me talk and me cuss dem seh me miserable. yaso a di house weh everybody come come pack up and fling down dem pickeny. a so glad seh me old and me cya move that me nuh affi deh take care of no little stubborn baby again. I have five sons you know. five and i have four daughters and almost all of them have them pickney pile up pan me!" she conplained. i could tell she was getting upset wich was something she wasnt supposed to do as she had high blood pressure. the more the kids screamed the more upset she got.

i didnt know what do do.

"its okay mrs. emmerson them a just kids though. a suh kids stay dem like to play and be wild expecially dem a bwoy pickney and dem under the age of five dem ago liud and bad" i laughed trying to cheer her up i turned up the radio beside her bed alittle bit putting it onto some music i begub to comb her long pretty hair for her shiney hair for her.

"i know, i dont want to seem misserable and i just feel tire of the noises-

"no you nuh seem miserable at all!, i understand how you feel. back at my home my siblings have kids. My sisters has two and my brother had one. I understand how you feel, you just have to try your best to fi nuh let them get yuh upset" I told her understandingly.
