Summary:

Peter's identity as Spider-Man is compromised because of a pillow fight with the Avengers.

_____

Peter sticks his packaged Poptart between his teeth, using one hand to steady himself against the kitchen counter as he lifts onto his tiptoes to reach the cabinets that Tony designed ridiculously high. The slam of the cabinets masks Tony's steps, causing Peter to startle when he turns around and Tony is opening the fridge.

"What are you doing up?" Tony asks, rifling through the shelf labeled as Clint's for breakfast he can steal.

"I have school," Peter says, opening his Poptart and shoving half of it in his mouth in one bite.

"Didn't you get my text last night? The rest of the team is coming back today. I decided to let you stay home to chill with everyone, but I won't stop you if you want to go to school and listen to teachers yap about things you already know if that's what you want."

"I didn't see your text. My phone died last night and I was too lazy to get out of bed to reach my charger." Peter sits at the kitchen table and leans his arms on the backpack he dropped there earlier.

Tony shakes his head, feigning disappointment. "My son, the lazy superhero."

"Shut up," Peter flicks a bit of Poptart crust at Tony. It hits his chest and falls to the ground where they both ignore it. "What are we doing today?"

"I thought we'd watch some movies. This is the first time the whole team will be together in almost a month. We should relax and spend time together in a chill environment."

"That works for me. As long as I get to pick a movie."

"Everyone will pick at least one movie. Except for Clint because he always picks terrible movies that traumatize everyone else." Tony swats the back of Peter's head as he passes the table, munching on a turkey sandwich. "Change back into pajamas. This is a rest day. You can't rest in jeans."

Peter practically inhales the last bite of his Poptart before tossing his trash in the garbage and doing as Tony says. He leaves his backpack on his bed, texts the group chat with Ned and MJ to let them know he won't be at school, and slips into soft sweatpants and a tank top.

The others have transformed the living room when Peter gets back to the common floor, having pushed all of the couches together to create a giant bed and sharing a plethora of pillows and blankets amongst themselves. The team is sprawled on the couches and floor in various states of comfy clothes. After greeting the people who have been gone on lengthy missions, Peter takes the only available seat beside Thor.

Thor is notorious for asking constant questions during movies so whoever arrives last to movie nights is punished with sitting near him. Peter doesn't mind sitting next to Thor this morning because Thor has seen the first movie in their queue and shouldn't ask too many questions.

Loki leans against Peter's legs and hands him a hair bow, expecting Peter to braid his hair without asking. Peter does, loving the feel of Loki's silky hair slipping through his fingers. FRIDAY dims the lights and the group plunges into silence.

Movie nights are sacred. There is an unspoken rule that you will be banned from future movie nights if you needlessly interrupt one, which is why Tony slips out of the room to check a text when his phone buzzes.

He comes back a minute later. "FRIDAY, pause the movie," he orders, holding his hand out against the groans and complaints. "I forgot that some school group won a tour of the Tower, including the common room - personal floors are still off-limits to tours - and I am leading it. They are arriving soon."
