Peter swings through the city without a care in the world. He's using Karen, his A.I. in his suit, to text his closest superhero friend, Princess Shuri of Wakanda. King T'Challa introduced the two when he visited Avengers' Tower to speak with Tony about some matter. Peter ignored the reason behind the visit. He focused on how much chaos he and Shuri could cause in the few days she would be there.

Peter is interrupted by a loud bang. Karen hones in on the location of the sound in record time. Peter changes direction and swings away.

He sighs in annoyance when he lands in front of the building Karen leads him to. It's a bank.

Come on, guys. What's up with criminals and banks?

Peter creeps into the building silently. It doesn't take him long to spot the bad guys and web them to the wall. He leans against the wall casually to wait for the police to arrive. His eyes narrow at the two women webbed to the wall. Peter could have sworn three people were in the bank when he entered.

Shit!

A sound behind Peter causes his Spidey Senses to go off. He turns quickly, but not fast enough. The last man embeds a knife deep into Peter's stomach. He gasps in pain but fights through the pain long enough to web the man on the wall beside the women.

Knowing it is dangerous to remove the knife, he leaves the weapon where it's at and covers the area with his webs, hoping to use them as a temporary bandage.
He writes a quick note for the police, letting them know he is sorry he couldn't hang around.

His window is locked when he makes his way to Avengers' Tower. No one should have locked it. Peter's window, specifically, is never closed for this exact reason. He's one of the few Avengers who come and go through their bedroom windows.

He shakily makes his way to the next window over. His vision goes spotty, and he feels weak as he knocks faintly on the window. Hopefully, someone answers soon, or he'll lose his grip on the building and tumble to the ground.

Just as he's about to fall, the window slides open. Strong arms wrap around his body and pull him forward. Multiple voices warp together as someone cradles Peter close to their chest. He's so tired, and it hurts so much. Peter leans his head against the person and blacks out.

...

"Class, settle down. I am going to call the roll," Mr. Harrington says. When he gets to 'P,' and there is no answer, he looks to Ned or MJ for an explanation of Peter's absence.

"Well... um... he's sick? Yeah, that's it. He's sick." Ned stutters.

MJ groans and face palms. She loves Ned, but he should never be allowed to cover for Peter.

Mr. Harrington does not look thoroughly convinced. "Well, alright. Our only student missing today is Peter. He's going to wish he had come. Principal Morita and I have been working for weeks to get a field trip authorized. None of you are going to be able to believe this. Today, we are going on a field trip to Avengers' Tower!"

Ned and MJ share a panicked look amongst the cheers of the rest of the class.

Ned leans closer to MJ's desk. "Did you get a text from Pepper this morning too?" MJ nods. "What are we going to do? Peter is probably still in Medbay."
